Little Bit of a Dilemma

My phone contract is up at the end of March so I'm checking out the new phones in anticipation to replace my Evo (the original). Here's the thing... I've reviewed the features of the newest phones and honestly I don't see a nickel's worth of difference between them and my 2 year old EVO 4G. I don't have a single complaint with my Evo (that I can't complain about with any Android phone). I just works. Am I missing something?

Phones looked at:
  • Samsung Conquer
  • Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch
  • HTC EVO Design
  • Motorola PHOTON

I'm not interested in an iPhone btw.

So just keep your phone until you find a better one-- then sign a contract.

My two-year contract with AT&T expired 4 years ago, but the monthly terms have remained the same while I'm still using the same old feature phone that came with the contract.

That is what I am doing

My new in 2 came up 2 months ago, and my Incredible still works fine. And none of the new phones have anything I want, So I am just keeping my old phone and plan until something better comes along, which looks to be around the end of the year.

Thanks. Just making sure that I'm not missing something that isn't obvious.

Mobile World Conference coming up at the end of Feb.

That's when you will see some worthwhile updates. Quad core is coming.

Now that may be worth taking a look into. This will be great if the mobile processor is the component that hinders the performance of a mobile device. I don't think it is. In addition, will a newer, more powerful processor be more of a drain on the already taxed battery technology?

I'll have to grab some RSS feeds on that conference. Thanks.

edit: I think that's "Mobile World Congress"

Increased core efficiency is said to improve battery life, but we obviously don't have too much to reference at this point.
