LG Phones = Garbage!
LG Phones = Garbage!
My shitty Sprint LG 5350 crapped out on my yet again. This is the third time this POS broke on me. The best part is that I never ever dropped the phone, I babied it all the time, yet the thing kept falling apart. My gf also has a Verizon VX6000 which broke on her once already too.
Well, lucky Sprint stopped carrying my LG phone, so they offered me a replacement Samsung VI660. WOW! What a difference. Going from LG to Samsung is like going from a Hyundai to a Mercedes.
This is an awesome little phone. It's tiny, fast, comfortable, uses SMS, has awesome voice recognition and is stylish. The only downside is that it has no front LCD, but I'll deal.
I'd recommend avoiding LG and if you have Sprint and need a fairly basic phone, (no camera) I highly recommend the VI660.

I liked the LG 5200 i had for two years, never had a single problem, actually keeping it as a back up phone just in case. It was a great phone.
BUT with that said, the sanyo 5300 i now have is just more solid and better built.

Also selling is a phone is like selling a [model year] car....for a carrier. You only buy so many. When you are done selling your inventory, you have no more to sell. 5450 is a 2002 model. There is no "discontinued" or "quit carrying" or whatever. When LG finds time to build another phone for Sprint, Sprint will sell it in 2004.
I was watching HDNet a few days ago and saw a short segment on LG. They produce a a TON of electronics in the asian markets...They are just introducing some of their other stuff here in the US.
In the next year, they're introducing a 71" PLASMA TV that is HD ready! That should be kick ass!

I've had my LG5350 since around Oct. of 2002 with no problems so far.
One thing I do hate about the 5350 is that shitty ass signal it pulls. I get 0 signal when other people's sprint phones are getting 2+ bars. Very annoying.

the t720 and the newer one was crap, they basically ruined the brand image of motorola for most, but id assume (im somewhat uninformed) that they still put out some good products. i hear the v60 was good, just needs an update
