Can you rewrite whatever you are asking, in complete sentences? It'll help us understand what the hell you're talking about. Not trying to be a dick.. (the other day I was though).

Image quality doing what? In 2D Windows? No difference. Games, you'll get better frame rates of course but things won't really look better. The only way the vid card would make any difference is if you're comparing digial vs. analog outputs and the LCD could accept either.

Also, get a low refresh rate.

Analog LCDs can suck, you can have a bad RAMDAC on your video card (the chip which converts whats in video memory to the analog din15 pin signal VGA connector)

Eitherway I never suggest anyone buys a analog LCD screen, get a DVI.

I assume thats what you were asking, hard to tell from your post.

maybe you meant response time? you do NOT want a low refresh rate, in fact you would want the highest possible that doesnt distort the image. of course that would be on a CRT, refresh rate really has no affect on LCDs, the key thing is response time which defines how long it takes the pixel to change. this wouldnt affect stationary 2D however, only motion.

fact #1: 2D image quality can GREATLY vary between different video cards due to chip design, filters used, and speed/quality of the ramdac (basically what outputs the image signal)

fact #2: Nvidia does not regulate the implementation/quality of 2D filters on their video cards. go buy 10 different gf4's from 10 different manufacturers and 2D quality will all be different

fact #3: ATI is much more strict in regulating 2D filters placed on their cards

if you have an Nvidia card and arent happy with its 2D quality, you could have shitty 2D filters and should be pissed at the boad maker

if you have integrated intel or s3 or something, do yourself a favor and go buy a real video card

also ALWAYS use a DVI cable for LCDs like siggy said if your card and screen support it
