^^^ +1 on the dell U3417 -- its pricy, but it replaces a cheapo 34" monitor I bought and returned to Amazon because it had wierd pixelation issues and poor compatibility with Mac

 

So I've narrowed it down to the and the . The Philips I just now posted is the 2k, a step below the 4k svtmike posted because the cheapest for the 4k I could find was $480, not $339 like you said... otherwise, I'd go with that one.

For everyday use, I'm not sure if the 2k vs 4k will make a difference .

Any input?

 

Well, after way too much research and going back and forth on many different monitors, I just pulled the trigger on the . I didn't want to spend that much, but considering the extra space and better resolution for daily work tasks, I figured it was worth it.

Now I just have to wait a week for delivery.

 

Got the new monitor a few days ago. LOVE it.

 

They just released a slightly larger size one...

Damn crazy... they don't have it available thru Amazon now, only through 3rd parties on Amazon for almost twice the price! Ridiculous.
