laptop screen resolution question

laptop screen resolution question

i am having some trouble with my new laptop's resolution. its my first laptop so im a nub

well anyway, on the lower resolutions, everything looks really stretched and shitty. but higher resolutions dont fill up the whole screen, and i have to like scroll the screen. i cant find any monitor settings either :/

with laptops, your suppose to leave it on the highest resoultion..It takes time to get used to. I have a IBM thinkpad and when i first got it back in the fall, it took some time adjusting. Usually with LCD you'd wanna set it to the highest setting.

First see if there is an updated video driver on the vendors site. Then try different resolutions / refresh rates until it looks good.
