I'm going to be using a Netgear modem router, and the internet is not going through it. To set it up I need the ISP username and password, and I have verizon. I'm calling verizon and the guy I'm talking to is telling me its admin/password. But when talking to netgear they said thats access to router and not the ISP username and password.

Is there any other way to find it out without calling verizon because they seem to have no clue what I'm talking about

 

Do you have a Verizon FIOS modem? If so, you don't need the Netgear.

 

No, we have DSL and its a really old modem, which sucks. I literally can't get signal 20 feet away from it.

The netgear modem router also supports wifi-N
