I am travelling to London in a few weeks and would like to bring my cell phone along with me. I have an unlocked Cingular Moto V3 which I know will work in London but I do not want to pay $1.49 to Cing for service. Can I just buy a sim chip with some minutes on it or something? I would prefer to buy it online or something and have it shipped to me before I leave so that I dont have to go seek one out in London. Can anyone tell me what I need?

Prepaid sim-card don't have to be sought after. They will be right under your nose when you come thru UK customs. There isn't a foreign airport that I have been to that didn't have them in vending machines.

I see, Ken, I should not have said that I did not want to seek them out, I am going to London with 25 other people and I would just prefer to have it all taken care of before I get there. So if I do the telestial thing I buy the $40 chip then I have to buy minutes? If so I think that sounds like a pretty good plan. I have chips from other places in the world mainly the middle east (Kuwait, Dubai, UAE, Saudi Arabia) would any of those SIM's work in London?

What about those chips? After conversion they are much cheaper than the telestial chips.
