From all the info I have read... I looks like the release for online sales will be either oct the 16th or 19th... then the release at the stores is gonna be like the diamond... delayed...just not sure how long... Its like the other day when the sales rep who was the store advocate for the Diamond went to the back and let me start up and mess around with a new Diamond... but they are due to be released later on this week at the store....BUT...If I wanted to go online... I could have had one already in my hands via overnight mail... go figure y'all...

Touch Pro... DELAYED!!!! Nov 2nd is looking more correct... The HTC advocate at Sprint that I spoke with a couple weeks ago said "sometime next year". LOL... hope he was wrong...

From what I read at PPC Sprint's version is expected at Best Buy this Sunday. Best way to find out is call BB on Friday and ask. Their shipments for Sunday come in on Thursday. I'll be at my local Best Buy Sunday no matter what. BB Mobile usually doesn't know much in the way of release dates for phones. They just sell whatever gets thrown in front of them.

And the edges are chrome, but not the back.... it has looked like that for a while I believe from all the leaked pics I have seen.... at least its not RED like the Diamond....

This phone is amazing... it is better than I imagined! Super qwik... super sharp screen... lighter than my brick phone and it connects to everything know to man... Which I need to stop!!! ... calls are clear... I just have NOOOOOO experience with the Windows OS, so its taking me forever to learn anything... I still cannot get the weather to work...... and I love the chrome... makes it look sick... came with a 1G microsd card too... and weird adapter... that I have no idea what to do with....... oh yeah and the camera is just sick!!! Takes way better pics than my digital camera...

OMG... the lady who was at the 1st BB I went to posted this about me today on sprintusers.com:

I GOT MY PRO!! Houston, TX. Actually Spring. Bought the last two that Best Buy had! A guy came in after me and wasn't so pleased - but the site said all the surrounding BB's had em, so I told him that!

I got em for the 299 + the 20% off.

So far - I'm loving it. I have absolutely NO complaints. Ran into a sprint store to see if they could sync my contacts from the rumor to it - guy didnt have the machine and was shocked that I had the phone. Asked me if he could look at it and all cuz he didnt believe me!! Said sprints system said it was there, but quantity said 0. I told him best buy has em!!!

 

Does it have speakerphone? And if so, how loud is it? I've got the Sprint Mogul (HTC) and from what i've noticed on all HTC phones is that their speakerphones suck a$$.

 

The speaker phone is actually pretty loud... The test is gonna be when the windows are down in the car.... then I will be able to tell you

 

Just found out... the weather function should be up and running later today... Sunday...

 

With the windows up in my car I can barely hear the speakerphone on my Sprint Mogul with the volume set to max! it's predecessor, the PPC-6700 was the same. Both had speakerphones that sucked arse!

The only phones that I've ever found that were great on speakerphone were nextel phones.

Picked mine up at Best Buy too. I upgraded from a Treo 755P. It'll be in the black market soon.

Loving every feature of it. Can't believe I've been with Palm as long as I have.

for sure...just have to learn to deal with shorter battery life...how was the Lotus?

 

^^The Lotus is actually a pretty good device. Batt life not as good but overall I can do everything that I normally would do on my treo 755. I miss the touchscreen though.
