sprintusers.com today said that the Pro should be available via the internet on 10.15.2009 and in sprint stores on the 19th... other than that nothing life changing... but since the 15th is a day after my birthday... maybe I can get one overnighted...

Pretty much plan on ordering one instead of getting one at a store, no matter when they come out... the stores still do not have the Diamond and it was released while we had no lights here in Houston and Ike had just rolled his wide behind over us!

I know this is the Pro thread, but I saw the Diamond TODAY! WOW is all I can say... it was smaller than I thought and lighter too... I roll into the Sprint store and the guy went in the back, got a brand new one out, put the battery in it and let it fire up!! Supa slick and the screen is soooooooooooo clear!

He said that the release date for the Diamond is October the 16th and they have all of thier phones in the back already!!!!

NOW for the bad news... He said that the Pro release date is still up in the air due to some software and supply issues.... I was not happy!!!!!!!

Now for what I think... : Sprint muffed the Diamond release date due to software and supply issues....and now the Pro is the Diamond's worst competition!!!! Soooooo, we (Sprint) tell everyone that the Pro is being delayed, so they all buy Diamonds and we (Sprint and you and me) will deal with the fallout later.... and the Pro will release on the 19th or later even, depending on the sales of the Diamond.... OK... my rant is finished...

Cliffs:
1. Diamond is a sick phone... played around with one TODAY!!!
2. Diamond release is set for the 16th of October!!
3. We are somehow getting the shaft on the Pro release (is supposed to be the 19th) due to secondary gain!

 

my friend visited me from HK last month, and he was using the diamond.

i didn't realize what it was until i placed it in my hands.

i was like "wait...this is out already?" then i realized how we always get it late.

it was definitely a cool phone.

I would think the HTC Touch HD looks nicer....plus 480x800pixel screen, 5megapixel camera....that's pretty sweet....

 

It will not be available in the US.
