Got a copyright infringement notification

So I got one from charter recently. I guess its one of my roommates downloading stuff. I told them to stop now, but is there any other precautions I should take? They wouldnt come to my house to check our laptops, would they?

^no.
I read into it after I got one.
different isp's handle it different. TIme warner will send out three warnings.
then on the third, will either place a hold on your account or jack up prices

its weird, its for the Senna documentary I downloaded. I didnt even download it at my college house(where i'm getting this notification) and it says it was caught on March 20th. Which means that i guess I had vuze opened and it started seeding it, cause i downloaded this thing months ago.

public torrents = gotcha!!! especially if they are popular.

demonoid or newsgroups...one is free but hell to get into, and second one, is not free, but it's awesome, it's private, it's fast and ISP can suuuuuuuck it.

but most importantly, BUY, don't steal. mhmm mhmmm mmmhmmmmmmkay?

P.S. Smack your friends, scare them, and make them take you to a nice steak dinner!

Hate it when my "roommates" do that! jk

They probably got pinched because they are leaving their client on and the downloaded content is showing up as available for download for others. It is much easier to focus on those making content available much more than those that simply download it.

I dload music all the time from torrents but notice there are only a few seeds and it is music most people wouldn't probably listen to so I guess that's why I haven't gotten any warnings.
