Where's my frickin' AZ fixxxxxx!!!!!
The effin' DSL at my house went buggy on Monday towards the end of the storms this week- intermittent connection, and a connection speed of probably 14.4K when it worked. The computers won't even load smileys without major 30-second efforts.

FIOS is not available in my area, so I'm on DSL. :rippedoff The land line is fine-- perfect, from what I can tell.
I called Verizon. After several line tests, the tech said the problem was on its end, but a repair guy couldn't make it to the area until 12/29!!!

A week and a half-- WTF?!! it's not like I'm the only SOB with DSL in this Verizon area!!!

Until then, I'm intermittently barely on here, have difficulty with loading the 3G TL and other threads, have no idea what frickin' photos any of you loons post up, can't go into the LNN threads and can't see for sh** when I'm in them and can't tell the progress on the AZ Child's Play charity until someone types in text because I CAN"T SEE THE FRIGGIN' MOFO COUNTER so I might consider contributing again!!!!
Like Whiskers, I'll be at Starbucks for the wireless internet this holiday until the neighborhood internet is fixed...
Well, any Verizon service employees here can suck my #@%! :thumbsdow
As for the rest of you, the best of the season and happy new year to you if you can see this, assuming this EFFIN' thread even shows up!!!

do you have an android or windows phone? If yes, why not tether it to your home computer using a free app from XDA developers? That way you don't raise your phone bill w/ tethering, you can stay at home and have something around 2-3 MPBS.
OR ask a neigbor if you can borrow wireless internet for a little bit!

Playa Vista: Sarlacc's neighborhood.

Makes me think a cable outage of 2 days is no big deal.

Verizon guy came to area on 12/29. Fixed what he thought was the problem at the Verizon boxes and didn't have to come to the house. Internet works fine up until 5 pm-- then it shuts off!!!
I call Verizon-- due to the holidays, Verizon set up another appt for Monday... Jan. 17!
At this point, the DSL works (mostly- there are intermittent outages, but at regular speed) from 11 pm until 5 pm the next day, then it shuts down between 5 pm and 11 pm each day.

I had AT&T DSL when I lived in my last place and never had a problem (roughly two years). I've had in my current place since move-in day (so, a year and five months) and haven't had any problems.
It's "ol' reliable." She's not fast, but she gets the job done without any grief. lol

Not as fast as cable I suppose but fast enough for what I use it for. It's been pretty reliable too.
