I follow Acurazine on Twitter but don't follow anyone here as I don't recall recognizing any names. Anyways, I'm eddie878 on Twitter. I don't have many followers but I tend to post about stuff I read about like cell phones, video games, electronics, sports, TV shows, breaking news and funny quotes. What's your Twitter name and what do you tweet about?

Those that don't have it, you don't have to post tweets or anything. It's the fastest way to get information, especially if you link certain members' tweets to your cell phone. Like if you play fantasy football and follow Adam Schefter or Chris Berry from ESPN, they'll give you valuable info on Twitter first.

If you have an iPhone I'd also recommend you download the app called Echofon. It's free and really easy to use for Twitter. Better than the official Twitter app IMO.

I've posted a lot of stuff in the Apple thread hours after it hit Twitter. Same with sports and news.

I think a lot knock it because it's popular so sometimes it's cool to hate the big guy. A lot of people hated Facebook including myself but saw that's actually entertaining as is Twitter. You can simply control your notifications so no need to be harassed via text. It's gone to mainstream media so it's a great supplement to gathering information.

 

No Twitter for me....heck, I can hardly keep up with my Facebook account.

I can see Twitter being useful for businesses or organizations, but for individuals it just seems incredibly pompous and mundane.

I also get annoyed at text messages sent to my phone with extraneous/unnecessary info duplicating prior e-mails (!!) or verbal discussions.

I follow every Auburn football player that is on it, and two of the recruiting sites I'm on. I have the phone option selected for each player, so that when they tweet I get a text message on my phone (unlimited texts per month).

It's nice to get some updates, but I don't read every tweet. Since September 15th I've gotten 1000 text messages, and I obviously haven't read them all.

I am also still following porn star Bobbi Eden.. she tweeted during the World Cup that if the Netherlands won she would give a BJ to all her followers.. I didn't win

 

I'm with Ken. I have no need to know what any particular person is doing right now other than the people that I can actually call on the phone. Also, I don't really have any need to share my every move with anyone else either. I actually love my privacy.
