Debian Linux Experience?
I have a server running Debian 4 (Etch). I need to upgrade to Debian 5 (Lenny) and not the latest version (Debian 6, aka Squeeze) for software comparability reasons (long story, can provide details if necessary).
What is the best way to approach doing this. I believe if I simply do an "apt-get dist-upgrade", I'll jump to Squeeze. Do not want to do that.
Here's what our sources.list file currently looks like:
Can I simply change "etch" to "lenny" and do an "apt-get upgrade"? Or is there a way to do "apt-get dist-upgrade" and specify to only upgrade to Lenny?
Hoping Azine has some insight!

That might be a possibility. However, if what I'm finding is correct, I can do what I said.
I do have an identically configured server that serves as this server's "backup", so I could try it on that server first and see what happens. That's actually a good idea...why didn't I think of this yesterday!
