Debating Two Low-End LCD TVs (For Kitchen)

I'm debating between the following two LCD TVs. I'm giving one as a gift to my fiancee's parents for letting me sleep over so many nights over the past three-plus years. This TV will go in the kitchen, to be used as they're watching breakfast or to catch up on the news, but not to watch movies and such.

Any comments?

Thanks.

I like the LOOK of the Polaroid better, the specs are almost the same on both. The Polaroid looks like it might be a widescreen, the Konica is 4:3 but they have the same resolution so the Polaroid might be 4:3 too, can't really tell.

I definately like the look of the Polaroid better too.. The black frame certainly makes the picture stand out, even if it is just an illusion. Wonder if both support CC too.. Need to look into that.

The black frame is sort of an illusion, but it is what it is. I paid extra for my projection screen to have a 4" black border around it instead of the normal 1.5". It makes a world of difference. I've been thinking about doing dark curtains on that whole wall now, but I can't decide if it would look ok since it's my living room.
