Legit question because the carrier subsidizes the phone price by locking you into a contract. So, if you already have a phone, no need for a contract right? Many years ago, Sprint offered month by month if you paid full price for a phone.

I havent sold phones in over two years so i shouldnt even try to answer this, but I dont think anyone offers month by month anymore, phone or not. As with any subscription company, the stability of the corporation is directly related to how well they can gaurantee their monthly income. I think every carrier has eliminated month by month contracts because the sheer competiveness of the market would cause subscribers to come and go like a revolving door.

Then again...im just guessing

No one will want to do the work of activating the phone with no contract...because no commission is most likely being made.
