...so I was at this get-together last week, and was talking to this girl... she said that on her Verizon phone... she knows when a text msg. (that she sent) has been read or not... said that her phone has "indicators" that confirms... I was kinda amazed cause my Treo 700, which is practically a mini PC doesn't even does that! Does your phones do that?

 

For your phone to know when a message has been read the other one would have to send a reply.

It wouldn't be hard to do but it would eat up a lot of message units.

 

This will only work if the person also has verizon, and it just means that the text message was accepted by the network. The other person may not have read it, or even gotten it.

 

yep, unsupported feature. means the "network" has "read" your message, not the recipient.
