Standard ringtones for older phones were flat sounding. Polyphonic ringtones sound closer to music. Further above that are real music ringtones which use MP3 files.

Okay, where's a good place to look up tones to listen to?

Also, am I limited to the songs that my phone lists or can I send tones to my phone from a website or something?

if you go to a website, they will send the ringtone as a text message to your phone,
if you go on the media mall part of your phone and set up an ewallet and then you can download songs to your phone from the media net for like $2-3

it supports mp3 ringtones, you should look into that.

what i use is planetringtone.net

its 11 dollars for a year subscription and you can download unlimited polyphonics or mp3 ringers. only thing is you need some internet space on your account so you dont get wapped when you download the song to the phone.

i use a program called audacity. find it at download.com. and i rip my own MP3 ringtones between 20-30 seconds long. then i use planetringtone.net to send it to my phone. which means any song any part.

look into it, if you need help im pretty sick with it. let me know

ps dont do polyphonic stick to mp3 ringers so much better

i think this would work

http://www.cellphonemall.net/wireles...13&phoneid=455

but it might not work that well because it hooks up through a serial port.
this one is more expensive, but its a stand and usb...http://www.cellphonemall.net/wireles...95&phoneid=352

i use both for my motorola, usb and planetringtone.

usb is for home.
planetringtone is whereever you have an internet connection.
