Cancellation !

I am an existing tmobile carrier and is very uspet with the service. I am considering switching carriers. Is there any carrier that is willing to pay for your cancellation fee, just for you to open a contract with them?

Couple of my friends said AT&T/Cingular does, but i could not find anything

or should i just pay tmobile teh 200$

Really? AT&T does?

I would be shocked if that's true.

Don't think anyone is gonna pay your cancellation fees.

you'll still have to pay the cancellation fee... AT&T/Cingular will just give you some incentive to move over to them.

Kindly ask a t-mobile employee to expire your contract manually. If that doesn't work you're pretty much SOL.

what do you pay a month and multiply it by how many months you have left on your contract...if it's more than the $200 cancellation fee...cancel it if you're that unhappy...

mm.... idk if this will work, but try calling them and tell them you're planning to go overseas for a couple of months and so you want to cancel the service because you dont want to pay for it while you're not using it. i dont think they would charge you for cancelling if you had to cancel right?? or is my logic wrong?

It won't work. They will simply suggest they can suspend the lines.

Best thing to hope for is to get a CSR to waive the ETF.

I think that is the hardest thing to get done. But if you're polite and to the point it might work.

Also, consider asking the new provider to give you a $50 credit on your account for each of the next four months to convince you to switch. In effect they are paying your $200 cancellation fee, but to them it appears as a sign up incentive, which is much easier for the new provider to justify than paying outright for your switching.

I work for Verizonwireless. When we get a customer who is looking to porting in from different carrier to verizonwireless, and need to pay the early ternimation fee, we usually work out a deal on the phone as well as the activation fee waived. You can probably get a $50off on the phone and $35 act fee waived. Hope everything goes well with your issue...GL
