My brother works for verizon and he is gonna be one of the testers for this phone. Originally this phone was supposed to be out this month some time but got pushed back untill november.

 

There are rumors that it will be $200 with new 2 year contract. We'll see....

 

I noticed that too. Not sure how big of a deal it is, though, since you can't use wi-fi on Verizon without paying for a data plan, anyway.

 

not to mention Verizon's EVDO is practically everywhere and is damn fast...and it has Rev.A to boot

 

I cant wait to pick one of these up

because it does have wi-fi but I think it's being disabled by verizon. The Vodaphone version does have wi-fi.

My wife has been on my case about researching about the Storm. Glad to see some one else is doing the same.

Been on the crackberry site non-stop. I am up for my upgrade discount so just waiting for the Storm to be released

 

I heard that the 11/16 date is being pushed back.

 

I don't mind waiting for a device if that means less bugs with the initial release.

I hope it isn't pushed back any further. But at the same time, I agree with sanjbaby. I'm just getting too damn impatient.

As for the invite, you had to send a text message and hope that you were chosen. Now, you have to be one of the first 800 people in line and show the the txt message to get in, so we'll see. I'm gonna get there around 5pm or so

 

I'm hoping this comes out before 11/21 because I want to get one before my Thanksgiving vacation. If not, then I'll be getting a Dare.

 

Just got home from the event...what a fuckin night. Just want to let you know that I was able to get into the after party and met Dave Grohl. Also, I was standing next to Kyle from Tenacious D during the Foo Fighters in the pit and met him. Both great guys.

Anyways, my impressions of the Storm are that it's a fantastic device, but it definitely needs some work. Plenty of lag, and at times, it did not work at all. Again, these are all beta versions which apparently they have had for several weeks. Regardless, the device feels great in the hand, the click-screen feels great, and the screen is absolutely beautiful. I honestly can not wait until the device is ready for launch and hopefully bug-free. Damn what a night. On top of that, I was the last person w/ my bro to close down Pink's. How often does that happen? Never!
