yup. more on the blackberry pearl than curve tho - curve has alot more memory than my pearl. check before and after you install in the status and no doubt will there be a difference.

i installed a medical program that took 2 hours to DL. damn. after i did that, my status was 5mb free ram AFTER a bat. pull - whereas it was 15 before.

uninstalled it in a second

I did some modding to the curve

What you guys think??

White housing and a green backlight.

The housing needs another coat to touch up.

Uh, disagree wholeheartedly...

I never used daytimer or even electronic PDA until I got a blackberry. Having a cell phone plus something else was inconvenient, but a cell phone that can do PDA functions, even without data, is very useful since you don't have to carry another item/device, and you can sync contacts and calendars. Email and internet would make it more useful, but I wouldn't ever say a BB is worthless without email and internet.

Is there another link for OS 4.5? This one is dead. I searched, but I fail.

Probably just the salesman in me... Hate customers who come in and want a blackberry w/o data. There are a lot of phones that support that sort of functionality that are smaller and easier to use (usually sans calender and contact sync). But I guess it is handy...

I agree. Not saying that everyone who has a blackberry should use all the features. but come on. I see so many people who just use it as a phone. No calendar, no email. no internet, nothing not even BB messenger. come on

Whats the point? Besides saying "Oh, Look at me, I have a blackberry, I'm important."

well then those people should've just gotten a phone then.

But just because people don't have a data plan with a BB doesn't mean they don't use any other feature.

Case in point my colleague had a Jornada that is dead and her cell phone is dying. She doesn't need internet or email, just PDA functions that can sync contacts and calendar, and it made more sense to carry one device instead of 2, so she got a Motorola Q. She wanted a blackberry, but she's under contract with Verizon and they were forcing a data plan with the blackberry but not with the Q.

I just got my Curve yesterday, switching from an iPhone. I love it so far, it does everything I expect from a solid PDA.

I've had my Curve (8330) for the past couple of months or so and it's been tons of fun. However, last night it became "possessed". Every time I would try to text or even email, it would give me a different letter or combinations of words. Like :f: would give me :rdfg:. I removed the battery, memory card but couldn't change it. Then it got worst; it starts up for a minute then dies; the screen goes completely black. I can't access any application whatsoever. Maybe it's in my mind as well but I have the impression the little cursor ball hardened up. Do I have to shell out 600$ again or is there some miracle solution?

I know it's late, but you can also try wiping the device and reinstalling the OS.

It ended up working again. I left the battery out for the night and everything was fine during the morning.

I still want the new Curve. Hopefully by the end of the summer, I'll have one.

my curve be tripping I have AIM installed on it and it logs me off all the time. And then the phone resets on its own at 3pm for some odd reason and then my scroll bar trips out. I think its time to take it in to sprint and get another

I know T-Mobile offers it for sure; AT&T should be offering it as well as I got mine from Rogers down here.

Does anyone else receive errors with their 8900? I'm having this error every now and then when I start my phone :Uncaught Exception. java.lang: and it pops up three or four times, not allowing to see any SMS,E-mail or even choose my phone Profile(Quiet, Vibrating etc) nor my camera. I called my wireless provider and they're sending me a new one; hopefully that'll be the end of it.

maybe im late, but i think the headset/headphones that come in the curve box could probably be split at the 3.5MM end and plugged into my laptops headphone and microphone jack...
