Arrow Best Printer To Buy???

Hey All,

I need a printer and I want a muntifunction one with Printing/Copy/Scanning.
I'd like to spend less than $200....maybe around the $150 range. Does anyone know of a really good muntifunction printer for around that price? Thanks!

Don't get a dell, cause you can only get cartridges from them. (:

HP does an outstanding job on their business products and sometimes on their multi-function printers.

If you're going to get a multi-function, make sure it has fax capabilities, too. It's a lot easier to fax straight from the "printer" than through windoes. Also check how many pages per cartridge you can print.

One thing to check into is how much the ink costs and what kind of requirements they have - i.e. the Epson I have (CX6400) requires that all ink cartidges be present and not empty to print. Even if you are only printing black, you still have to have the CMY cartridges and they can't be empty. It wouldn't be so bad if the catridges didn't empty out just on starting up the printer.

Anyway, most printers will do the job, but you aren't going to get a "good" one for little money. You're going to pay, either up front or in ink down the line.

I would argue the Dell.(IMAGINE THAT HUH???) They have a multi function--print/copy/scan/fax for under 100. Yes you can only get ink from them, but it avg's 5 less a cartridge then HP. The great thing is when you get low in ink, your computer will ask you if you want to order more. If you say yes, it arrives within 24 hrs.

Have always heard great things about Epson in terms of photo and graphics printing. All my printers to-date have been Canon or HP, but my next one will definitely be an Epson.
