Asus rma

So I started having issues with my Asus Transformer Prime (wouldn't power on) on the 31st day (1 day after I could return it to the store) so I had to RMA it through Asus.

For the most part, I found the RMA process quick and painless - I sent it out to Asus on 4/3/12 with their provided shipping label. They sent it back via Fedex and I got the package today only to find this:

Called them immediately after I opened the package, and even provided them my Fedex tracking # (554465460101104) to prove that I just got it delivered to my office. Now they want me to send in pictures before they even issue me an RMA... such bullsh*t..

Yeah looks like damage from Fedex... although it was packed with thin layers of very soft foam.

Tried talking to a supervisor at Asus customer support to bypass the 48 hour wait period - the guy basically said theres nothing he can do and that "I'm out of luck and just have to wait."

I don't usually get upset, but I am livid...

Fedex is shit, we all know this. But I'm more upset with Asus for shipping it back to me in two soft pieces of foam.

Well the folks over at XDA Developers gave me a direct contact at Asus. I emailed him yesterday and he responded requesting more pictures.

Guess that's a good sign, but doesn't help that there's still no offer to repair/replace the Prime.

I'm hoping that I'm not stuck with a $600 paper weight.
