I just learned that I can take a screenshot of anything I'm viewing on the phone by complete accident...
Hit the home and off buttons at the same time, let go and done. Neat feature
Did any of you know of this? I wonder what other near features I don't know about now...

Yea I can agree with this. I got the iPhone when it first came out and the only problem i have ever had with it was when the whole bottom half of the touch screen froze so i couldnt slide the thing over to unlock it or answer calls, texts, etc. I took it to apple and they tried a few things with it to see if they could fix it, but they couldnt, so they just gave me a new one for free. no biggie. it was annoying not being able to use my phone for a day though.
it seems i have been having more problems with the latest software update though. i do get better battery life and all of that, but when typing, if i go too fast, then it totally freezes and about a minute later the phone will continue to type what i was hitting before it froze. like it had to think about what i was pushing on the screen for a while. little stuff like that drives me crazy because i text pretty much all day, but besides that, i love my iphone. wouldnt trade it for anything.

Holy shit. Was on the way to NYC on the train to meet up with some people from out of town and my phone deactivated itself. Long story short, no ability to make calls/use the phone. After I got it plugged into iTunes it forced a restore upon me. The phone was cleanly restored LAST WEEK. Quite pissed off about that.

Alright I've been contemplating jailbreaking my iPhone (non-3g)
I've had a few friends who did this and their iPhones would crash a lot and some features wouldn't work. Someone convince me one way or the other? I'm perfectly satisfied with the iPhone as is, EXCEPT with the data speeds when I'm not connected to a wifi network and the earpiece/speakerphone volume. I can barely hear shit which is why I'm always on my bluetooth, and I never use the youtube feature on the iPhone anymore because the volume sucks ass, and it takes forfuckingever to search and load a video.
so, pros/cons?

edge majorly sucks, 3G also sucks too on my iphone (honestly can't wait to LTE). good thing it has wifi, 99% of the time mine's spent on the network. when i took the LIRR to Long Island w/o wifi, i swear the locomotive went faster...i don't even know how ppl go for the BB Storm - ugh.
Btw, anyone tried the new Google mobile w/voice, not perfect but pretty cool.

Jailbreak opens your phone to apps you prolly can't find in the App store. Up until the App store became a reality, JBing your phone was the only way to experience all the apps and different things your phone could do...
Now not so much...i'd say its almost a tossup give or take a few programs/features
Oh when you JB, you can add MMS, copy paste and all the things folks loathe Apple for purposely leaving out from their feature list.
Cons....
All cell phones crash..the iphone is no exception. It just crashes less according to a CNET study. Go figure.
JBing it can only increase the chance of crashes if you install an app that causes the system to crash...again like any other computer/cell phone on the market.
I can understand your internet speed whoas. T mobile is who I use. They have their good days and their bad days. I've seen my EDGE service fly and load pages like it was 3G and I've also seen it crawl like 14Kbps modem speed. It all depends on the network conditions
I will admit that Tmobile had faster EDGE speed in general. Not much we can do there...perhaps you could score a 3G phone like I did and just keep your plan as is (give/take 10.00 for 3G service)

Tiguy is somewhat incorrect. JB has shown 0 effect on the stability of the iphone. Some of the apps that you can download may have an adverse affect sure, but not jailbreaking itself.

Umm Swirly MMS (A MUST have) and SpoofApp (you'll know what I mean when you google it)...Oh yeah, Iphone Video and Voice Recorder and access to Cydia and Installer for all your "free" app itches

Ever heard of "Customize"? Lots of issues with that app.
