Anyone use Laptop Connect?

My family is going on a roadtrip this summer and I was thinking about getting one of those to use my laptop in the car. My mom, sister, and me all have an At&T family plan and I already called them and they said it would be $75 for a month. My dad because of business reasons has nextel (he needs the beep feature). If worse comes to worse my aunt and uncle have verison and I could pay them back if they put me on for a month. So I was wondering if anyone had any experience with these cards? Also I have roadrunner high speed online at home so I am going to notice a huge difference in speed?

i don't know much about the AT&T ones, but we use the verizon cards for work and they are pretty damn close to broadband.

Thats good to know. Is it true what the commericals say and that the sprit/nextel one is 4 times faster than AT&T?

AT&T already said no contract I am not sure about the others. So are they this bad that nobody else here has tried any of these?

I thought Verizon had really good coverage? I have some friends with Verizon and they seem to have good coverage.

Seriously, I think it was a scam to get me to pay $12 a day for internet service, and it worked.

Every other hotel I have stayed at has good cellular service throughout, even top floors.

Whats more of a rip off is the hotel charged you for internet. Every other hotel I have ever been at has provided me free internet. Sounds like a scam to me. They probably put in those cell phone blockers they have in high schools.

I am not going to lie I am not sure what an edge phone is but I do know they said they would let me add the data card and than cancel when I am done. I have internet at home I would just want this for my trip.
