Anyone have Boost Mobile?

Any real downsides to it besides minutes being expensive?

I need a walkie talkie for work, and they supply us with one if we don't have our own, but they charge us 20 bucks a week and it has no phone usage, only walkie talkie.

I looked into getting a Nextel but don't really want to be in another contract because I already have one with Sprint.

I looked into Boost, and for 50 bucks a month you can get 400 minutes and unlimited walkie talkie, all with no contract.

Just wondering if anyone has an opinion about it, or experiences, good or bad... thanks!

Sprint and Nextel are the same company, call them and see if they can work out some sort of deal with your existing contract. May be as simple as a phone upagrade to a Nextel phone instead of a Sprint one.

Anyone have Boost?

I just saw a commercial for it, $50 for everything - minutes, web, text.

Boost runs on the Sprint/Nextel network. If you are familiar with their service, you can probably expect Boost to have similar performance. Not a bad deal for $50/month IMO.
