Can this Canon also print text documents if I need it to? If so I'm gonna get this one.

I bought a Canon iP3000 a few months ago and am very impressed by the photo quality, even though it's at the low end of the scale. If I had to do it over again, I would have gone for at least the iP4000. As Siggy said, the quality is not true photo quality, but for those times when you really need the highest quality, splurge for a reputable developer or shop to do it. Otherwise, the printer is great for projects and casual photos. The built-in automatic duplexing function and dual paper trays are also nice bonuses in an inkjet for doing double-duty as a regular text printer.
I was wary of going back to Canon at first due to some bad experiences some years back, but feel very comfortable with the new Pixmas. I looked at HP as well but the price and lack of separate ink tanks held me back.
One thing I did notice was that Staples has good prices nowadays, a lot better than Future Shop during the holidays, so you might want to look there first.
