Anybody own a Dell 17" LCD? 1702FP

Also known as a rebadged Samsung 172t

How do you like it?

How are high frame rate games, or DVD movies on it?
I hear that fast motion graphics, particularly in videos, can
result in "ghosting/streaking" or trailing effects because of poor
refresh rates on LCDs in general compared to CRT monitors.

I've got one.....I was going to buy a CRT for the fear of those same reasons you mentioned. But I hate carrying that thing around, (I move a lot lately) and there is so much more deskspace now.

Games such as Unreal Tournament 1 and 2, Half Life, Flight Simulator run great. I"ve tried it with both analog and DV inputs (if you have a DVI video card) Clean, fast images.

Joker, I have a question for you:

Are you able to adjust the contrast with the buttons on the monitor and the on screen menu? Mine will only let me select and adjust brightness. :weird:
The only remedy I can find is within the XP Control Panel to adjust it.
