Any SAP users here?

I need some help with SAP, nobody at more workplace can answer my question, and google searches have been not the best, but I could be using the wrong terms. Anyhow we have 500+ products, all with unique material numbers etc. What I want to do is export to excel all material# and the relevant data attached to it. I.e case dimensions, weight, cub vol. upc etc. Is there a way to do this? I only have limited permissions in SAP due to potential job role conflicts so I can't just mess around till I figure it out, I would have to request access to the proper function to use i.e MM03 or whatever.

What tcode are you trying to export the data from? I'm sure you probably have clicked everything at the top of the toolbar. Some tcodes I've used to export data off the top of my head: ZSA5E and MB51. I'll need some additional information, sorry not much help.

I'd have my IT department write me an SQ01 query with the fields I need.

The information you'd be looking for is in the Material Master, which doesn't (to my knowledge) have a built-in reporting transaction for multiple material codes.

+1 on svtmike.

I think you're having difficulty with pulling and compiling the specific data you want. That's what a query does. If you are not familiar with that process, then call IT.

Once the query is made and performed, exporting to Excel is very simple.

I use SAP and this is what I do when transferring docs to excel.

- click the "page to page" icon.
- choose the spreadsheet (excel)
- Name the doc and save
- That puts it into SAP work directory
- then i go to my computer, open the "C" drive..... go into the SAP work directory and open the document

+3 on the t-code you're trying to use. I use mostly accounting/financial t-codes, but if you don't have an option for exporting contact IT like svtmike said.

See if you have access to SQ02 and start writing your own. It's really not that hard. I've had queries done in less than 5 minutes.

Also, check and see if you have access to SQ01. Browse the queries, they might already exist for what you want without having to ask anyone. My guess is from what you need it can all be pulled from a Material Master Query.

Last effort before calling IT. Check MB51. It's the next closest thing to SQ01.

I doubt I'll have access but I'll check in the morning, mine's pretty limited as I mentioned. Currently I'm only using MD04,C0o9,MM03 and 2 others i cant recall.
