Any recommendations for a Pay as you Go Plan?

My wife just ended her Sprint account because she felt she was paying to much for her very limited phone use. She just wants a cell for emergencies. Anyone know of a good Pay as you Go plan? Anyone have a bad experience with one they can share for her to steer clear of?

I think the minutes you buy do expire after a certain amount of time.

True on Cingulars plan the minutes last 90 days which is okay but you pay $1 per day for everyday you use the phone plus 10 cents a minute. I thought the $1 per day was pricey.
