Any issues to selling a used cell phone?
Any issues to selling a used cell phone?
I have a phone I'd like to sell on eBay. I've erased all my contacts, previous call history, etc... The only thing that remains is the programmed phone number (Verizon).
I'm always nervous about selling things that have any sort of identifiable info about me. Can you get rid of that number or am I being overly paranoid?
Thanks.

I think your being paranoid. The most info some can get is your name when they go to activate the phone with verizon (ie who owned this phone before).
Since the phones ESN is locked to you the buyer will probably want to check that the ESN is clear for activation before buying it from you (ie if a phone is reported stolen Verizon will mark it's ESN as stolen and no one can activate it).

[QUOTE=Sly Raskal]I thought there was an option in the phone settings to do a reset of the phones memory?
