Help!!! My daughter had her phone in her purse with a bottle of water and the water bottle leaked just enough to make her phone dead. I know that they can sometimes be repaired but is there any trick to it other than removing the batter and trying to blow dry all the parts? I've heard that there is a dot on the inside of the phone when you remove the battery that turns red if the phone is fried. The dot in her phone is still white like our phones, so I am hoping that it is fixable. Any ideas? I am desperate. Those phones are really expensive and I can't afford to buy her another one. And while as a freshman, she have a great career at the cash register of chick fillet, she is quite broke herself. Really need to get phone fixed. Sorry for rambling, just freaked out about the phone.

 

If the dot on the inside is still white, take it to the cell phone store IMMEDIATELY and say that the phone stopped working. I know with Verizon, if that were to happen, they would issue you a replacement. If it turns red, they won't help so take it ASAP! Good Luck!

Yeah, of course we had no insurance, and even if we did, water damage is basically one of those exclusions. I know that it is her fault, I'm not trying to screw the phone company, I just want to know if there is any way to fix it. She was here this weekend and brought the phone. I switched out batteries with her and the phone works. Only problem is that when I plug it in to charge, a message comes up that says unable to charge. It would do me no good to get her a new battery since hers appears to not be damages, just unable to charge.
