AAC to MP3
AAC to MP3
Hello.
I recently migrated from my Creative Zen Micro to an iPOD 30GB (with video) and was wondering if anyone knows how to convert a file from AAC to MP3.
I had a bottle cap for one free iTunes download and it came as an AAC file. While it works in my iPOD, I cannot get it to work anywhere else or convert to MP3.
Thanks in advance for anyone that can do this.

itunes will convert it....if i may ask why are you converting? you are going from a lossy compression to a lossy compression, so the quality is just going to get worse (albeit you might not be able to tell, but it will).
if you need to strip the drm from an itunes aac file try this:

In case I go back to a traditional "mp3" player I want to be compatible from the start.

DRM is the part that comes with the music say, if you bought it from the itruns store, it protects the music from being copied more than apple thinks it should. They can change it whenever they want..
if you search for a program called HYMN. It will strip the drm done songs, but it is illegal as per the thingy you click "ok" to when getting the music. And it's not garrenteed to always work.
