2 questions on Sprint PCS...

1. Last night I sent my phone through the washing machine. Needless to say, I need to buy a new one. I want to buy a cheap POS on eBay...if I do that, is it easy to get the phone activated? Do I just call Sprint and tell them some number off the back of the phone, or how does that work?

2. I am going to add a second line of service and buy a nice phone. I was thinking the Sanyo VM4500...is that still the best phone out for Sprint? Should I buy it on Amazon? They have $180 in rebates ($150 from Sprint, $30 from Amazon). Think I can get a better deal anywhere else?

OK it was more than 2 questions...

Thanks for any advice...

if you buy one on ebay, the phone has to be made for sprint, besides that its just a simple esn switch with sprint customer service.

The VM4500 is the best phone from Sprint today.

If you are already a Sprint customer you will not get the $150 Sprint rebate (usually those are new customer incentives).

I will if I am adding a new line of service.

Ah, so you are adding a new distinct account vice a 2nd phone on the same account. Gotcha.

I have always liked Sanyo phones. I went through three Samsungs before making the switch. First Sanyo lasted four years, now I have the 8100 and love it.
