17" lcd or two 14s side by side?

need to buy a monitor for my computer. I don't want to spend more than around 300-350. For that price I could either get a viewsonic 17" lcd, or two 14" lcds from some other brand.

which would you pick? I think the 14's would be great for school stuff, keep a browser open on one monitor and word or whatever on the other...but the 17 would be better for other shit....

can't decide. 14 is pretty small...but two might be cool.

Get the 17. First you would need a video card that can handle two monitors. Second 14" is small even if you have two. It would be EXTRA widescreen and its not like you would just stretch the image across the two, it wouldn't look too good. 17" would be bomb though.
