Pacman Interview

I think that pretty much sums it all up.

Dany Heatly killed his team mate while driving over 100MPH in a residential neighborhood, was charged with vehicular homicide, and he still plays in the NHL.

Delmond Young just got caught doing statutory rape, he is still in the lineup for the MLB.

I am sure there are many more? Why make an example out of Pacman with the harsh punishment?
Those are all points, some were of another time. But PacMan didn't just do one thing. I think they said on ESPN this morning, that this was the 11th time for him while in the NFL. I don't think he's been convicted of anything yet, but damn sometimes you just have to wake up!

As far as making an example out of him, there's a new boss in town. He's see what this shit did to the NBA and is trying to stop it before it gets out of hand with others. The NBA became known as the thug league. It's not just the owners and management of the NFL calling for the hammer to come down, but the NFLPA as well.

Maybe because Vick's case is isolated to that case, where Pacman has multiple cases he could be tried for.

It's amazing what sports can do for idiots like him.. Seriously, if there was no football, I'd bet 10 bucks that he'd be collecting food stamps.

From USAtoday
"While Vick said he's not involved in dog fighting, a website shed light on his apparent interest in breeding through a business known as "Mike Vick K-9 Kennels."

The site, www.VicksK9Kennels.com, said Vick specializes in breeding registered puppies ranging from rare pit bull terriers to "the highly intelligent and powerful Presa Canario." It also contains a disclaimer that none of its dogs were used for fighting."

I had the pleasure of seeing the site before they took it down and in was pretty obvious what the dogs were breed for. Face it the dude was fighting dogs for a thrill.

The waterbottle- do you honestly believe that there was not any pot ever in that water bottle?

Not showing up for congress- You are defending yourself to the media everyday for dog fighting how and the hell do you skip this?

The finger- I have seen 1000000000 athletes get pissed off cause they "lost the big one" and not give the finger. The NFL and media has been dying for Vick to become the MJ of football so of all people you are a professional. If I lose a big deal I don't run around flicking off the prospect.

Ron Mexico- You got me there!!!!

By no means am I saying Pacman should not be punished and I know there is a difference in cases but you have to admit Vick has gotten away with plenty.

Vick has not done plenty though.. The only thing that really sticks to him right now is the dog fighting.

In Atlanta, the news here reported that what he had in the water bottle was jewelry. I am pretty sure that was the final release that came out because if there was pot in that bottle he would have been arrested. There can be residue on the bottle if he had touched MJ before, but the MJ didn't have to be in the bottle. If I was carrying around $1mil+ in jewelry, which he probably was, I wouldn't want to put it in a bag where it could be taken and/or lost.

He probably flicked off a fan who yelled at him something obscene. Now he probably shouldn't flick someone off, but who cares.. If he said Fuck You to the guy and you could read his lips it wouldn't be a big deal.

How about this point.. Has he done worse than all of the 10 Bengals players individually? I believe all of them have been arrested, so Vick has already done less because he has yet to be arrested for something.

Would you let Micheal Vick baby sit your kids?

From an Auburn fan I would expect the "I am not a role model" agruement. I think they should all not be on the field if you ask me, even if you name is Michael Vick.

I am just sick of hearing about how he is going to change his life style every year around draft time.

Vick is a name bottom line, and the name says "it is ok to knowingly give a girl herpes and it is ok as long as you can break a tackle and not lead your team to back to back winning seasons."

I don't get the Auburn comment? Maybe I am missing something because Auburn is Alabama, but Auburn also graduates people that go on to be NASA astronauts. BTW what college did you go to? Or what college do you cheer for?

Just don't pay attention to something you don't like?

And maybe if Vick has a consistent coach, a consistent offensive line OR a consistent offensive coordinator he would be a great player being able to lead the Falcons to back-to-back winning seasons.

And FYI last year 5-6 of our defensive starters were injured at some point or time, so that didn't help because we couldn't hold a lead (ie the Detroit Lions coming back to beat us.)

Barkely went to Auburn and he had the whole Nike campaign of "I am not a role model."

I am kind of a mut when it comes to college sports:
Auburn and NC for the most part but I don't follow much college sports.

I went to a small college in East Texas named Stephen F Austin that was division 2.

Vick will never be a great player. He is a guy who makes the probowl because he is Vick. Now don't get me wrong he is one hell of an athlete and exciting player but I am not a fan of how he presents himself on or off the field. Vick to me is very overrated.

BTW Hall's brother sells me my furniture so if you want I can try and swing and autograph

Eh I don't really like Barkely anyway.. He picked Florida to beat us last year AT HOME! The announcer was like, "But charles you are picking against your alma mater." And Barkely acknowledged it and didn't care.

Back to Vick though, he probably will never succeed, but only time will tell.

And I have Vicks autograph on a bobblehead doll, so hopefully he does do great so I can make some $ off the damn thing! Thanks for the offer, but I'm not a big autograph fan

Kids are always going to find an athlete to look upto if they enjoy sports. Sitting down with my kid and explaining why their favorite athlete is in the news for dog fighting or drug possion is something that I am not looking forward to.

Side : You something that burns me is the $10K Vick donated to VT families. Granted I am sure many families were blessed with the help and there are no bad charity donations but only 10K to a school that gave him and his brother a shot to be professional athletes angers me.

Post Vegas bouncer sues Pacman over melee, shooting

From CNNSI...

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- A bouncer who was shot and said his left ankle was bitten by Adam "Pacman" Jones in a strip club melee sued the suspended NFL player and other members of his entourage for civil damages Monday.

The lawsuit for an unspecified amount was filed with the Clark County District Court on behalf of Aaron Cudworth three days after the Tennessee Titans cornerback surrendered in Las Vegas on two felony charges of coercion and posted $20,000 in bail.

Facts about the Feb. 19 melee and shooting, which paralyzed another strip club bouncer and wounded one other person, were confirmed in charges that the district attorney filed against Jones on Wednesday, said Cudworth's lawyer, Richard Schonfeld.

"When they made their filing, it confirmed what I was looking for," Schonfeld said. The civil case can proceed independently of the criminal trial, he said.

Jones' Las Vegas attorney, Robert Langford, said he had not seen the lawsuit and declined to comment late Monday. A message left after business hours at the Atlanta office of one of Jones' attorneys, Manny Arora, was not immediately returned.

The melee at Minxx Gentleman's Club on NBA All-Star weekend was sparked after Jones threw cash from a plastic trash bag on stage to "make it rain" for dancers as tips, according to the lawsuit.

When two dancers began to fight over the cash at about 4:30 a.m., Jones grabbed one by the hair and punched her in the face two or three times, the lawsuit says.

Cudworth wrapped his arms around Jones from behind, but let go when the club manager was escorting the former West Virginia standout outside. Jones jumped back on stage, vowing not to leave, cursing Cudworth and threatening to kill him, the lawsuit says.

After Cudworth again tried to restrain Jones, the lawsuit says he was knocked over by Jones' 400-pound bodyguard, Robert Reid, 37, of Compton, Calif. Jones took a swing at Cudworth, who restrained Jones, the lawsuit says. That's when Jones bit Cudworth on the ankle, according to the lawsuit.

Jones escaped, and when Cudworth pursued him, Sadia Morrison, 25, of New York, allegedly smashed a champagne bottle over the bouncer's head, cutting him.

Cudworth finally forced Jones outside, where he says Jones threatened to shoot him and acted as if he was reaching for a weapon in his waistband. The lawsuit says a witness heard Jones tell another member of his group, "Let's smoke this fool."

Later, the lawsuit alleges that a member of Jones' group fired a black semiautomatic handgun five or six times toward Cudworth, hitting him in the chest and left arm, causing him permanent injury. Another bouncer, Thomas Urbanski, was shot in the left hand and the torso, and was left paralyzed from the waist down. A female club patron was wounded in the head.

Cudworth is suing Jones, Reid, Morrison and others for assault, battery, false imprisonment and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Schonfeld said Cudworth underwent "multiple surgeries" and lost wages as a result.

Jones, 23, who has been suspended by the NFL for the 2007 season, is scheduled to return to Las Vegas on July 23 to face criminal charges that carry a maximum of 12 years in prison and a $10,000 fine if he is convicted.

Talking Pacman cited in traffic stop

:ibhejoinsCFLuntiltheyboothimtoo:

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (AP) -- Suspended NFL player Adam "Pacman" Jones received several driving citations in a traffic stop last month in Williamson County, where he has a home.

Jones was pulled over June 10 at 8:30 a.m. in his orange Lamborghini sports car because the tags did not match the car, WKRN-TV in Nashville reported.

Sheriff's deputies said he had switched the plate from another vehicle he owns. He was cited with a registration violation, as well as a residency violation for having a Georgia license and failure to show proof of insurance.

Jones was scheduled for a court appearance on the citations on Aug. 10.

The Tennessee Titans cornerback is currently suspended for a year over several legal scrapes since being drafted in 2005. He faces felony coercion charges in connection with a Feb. 19 fight and triple-shooting at a Las Vegas strip club.

Jones also faces a felony charge of obstruction stemming from a physical altercation in February 2006 with an officer on patrol in Fayetteville, Ga., but no trial date has been set.

Last week a judge delayed a decision on whether to revive charges from an incident last August at a nightclub in Murfreesboro just south of Nashville. Police said Jones got into an argument with a woman, refused to leave the club and shouted profanities at officers.

Good point, but remember, VT was hardly on anyone's radar until Vick showed up along with a few other key players. Hell, VT made a grip of money off of the games that Vick played in.

Red face Pacman to become a wrestler...

Well, I guess he has nothing better to do with his year off...?

Story here: http://www.newschannel5.com/global/story.asp?s=6856860

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Just as he has on numerous other occasions Adam "Pacman" Jones made headlines again; however, it's not another run-in with law enforcement.

NewsChannel 5 Sports learned Sunday, that Jones, in the midst of his suspension from the NFL, may be seen in a wrestling ring near you in the coming weeks.

Sources said that Pacman has signed, or will soon sign, a contract with Nashville-based TNA -Total Non-stop Action Wrestling - which is headed by Jeff Jarrett of Hendersonville.

TNA is the same wrestling federation that former Titan, Frank Wycheck, wrestled for some weeks back. Jarrett was out of the country Sunday night, but will be back in Nashville Monday.

Pacman's agent, Michael Hughe, said he could neither confirm nor deny the story.

Post Pacman faces trouble again

Hoooo boy...

From CNNSI...

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A woman is seeking an arrest warrant against suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones, claiming he punched her at an Atlanta strip club.

Fulton County Magistrate Court officials told The Associated Press on Tuesday that Wanda S. Jackson asked for the warrant after a Jan. 3 altercation at the Body Tap Strip Club.

Jackson, an attorney, says in her filing that she was in the club's office when an angry Jones accused managers of stealing his money and bracelet.

"I was sitting in the office and he lunged at me numerous times in an effort to do grave bodily harm," Jackson wrote in the warrant application filed Jan. 7. "Veronica Jones, an owner, went into the hall to deal with a member of his entourage. I followed to gawk. He was in the hall, surprisingly reached over or around a security guard and sucker punched me in my left eye."

Jackson told police the next day she was at the club because she was handling a divorce case that involved Adam Jones. No one could be reached Tuesday afternoon at the club's listed phone number.

"Mr. Jones, according to Ms. Jackson, was at the Body Tap Club and she and Mr. Jones got into an argument at the club and Mr. Jones struck Ms. Jackson in the left eye, causing a bruise around her left eye," according to the police report.

Jackson did not immediately return a phone message requesting comment. Jones' attorney Manny Arora said no warrant has been issued against his client.

Norris Arnold, a court support manager for Fulton County, said a magistrate judge will review Jackson's application on Feb. 8 to determine whether the warrant will be filed.

Last month, Jones pleaded no contest to a disorderly conduct charge related to a strip club shooting in Las Vegas that left club manager Tommy Urbanski paralyzed.

Also Tuesday night, the NFL filed a motion in Nevada to be dismissed from a lawsuit by Urbanski.

A judge already dismissed the Titans from the suit last Wednesday, saying the team couldn't be responsible for Jones' actions at the Minxx Gentleman's Club last Feb. 19.

The lawsuit filed Oct. 19 sought unspecified damages from Jones, the NFL, the Titans and the owners of Harlem Knights, a Houston strip club that rented the Las Vegas club for the party the night of the shooting, during NBA All-Star weekend.

A hearing for the NFL's motion is scheduled for Feb. 20 in Clark County District Court.

Clark County District Attorney David Roger said the new accusations could affect his criminal case against Jones. With his plea, Jones agreed to a year probation, random drug testing, community service and anger management classes.

"We have negotiated with Mr. Jones in exchange for his assistance in an attempted murder case. This doesn't help his case if he is found guilty," Roger told The Associated Press on Tuesday.

Jones has been arrested six times since being drafted sixth overall in 2005, including two arrests in Georgia in 2006 that the Titans did not learn about until 2007. Jones was suspended for the 2007 season by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in April.

"As we have said throughout his suspension, we will not comment on Adam Jones until he is reinstated by the commissioner," the Titans said in a statement Tuesday afternoon.

Jones was allowed to go to the Titans' headquarters once their season ended with an AFC wild-card loss in San Diego on Jan. 6. But the NFL plans to review his status following the Pro Bowl.
