Apparently Lochte and the boys vandalized a gas station and got into an altercation with a gas station attendant. The reports state there is video evidence of this altercation.
Eventually the truth will come out.

2016 Rio Olympics -- Brazilian police say video shows Ryan Lochte's, swimmers' robbery story untrue
A Brazilian police official has told The Associated Press that American swimmer Ryan Lochte fabricated a story about being robbed at gunpoint in Rio de Janeiro.
The official said Lochte's teammates Jack Conger and Gunnar Bentz, who were pulled off a plane going back to the United States late Wednesday, told police that the robbery story had been fabricated.
The official, who has direct knowledge of the investigation, spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak about an ongoing investigation.
He said that around 6 a.m. Sunday, Lochte, along with Conger, Bentz and Jimmy Feigen, stopped at a gas station in Barra da Tijuca, a suburb of Rio where many Olympic venues are located. One of the swimmers tried to open the door of an outside bathroom. It was locked.
A few of the swimmers then pushed on the door and broke it. A security guard appeared and confronted them, the official said. The guard was armed with a pistol, the official said, but he never took it out or pointed it at the swimmers.
According to the official, the gas station manager then arrived. Using a customer to translate, the manager asked the swimmers to pay for the broken door. After a discussion, they paid him an unknown amount of money and left.
Earlier Thursday, authorities told ABC News there is video of the gas station incident. ABC News also reports that the swimmers offered 100 Brazilian reals ($31) and $20 to compensate for the damage.
Unfortunately, the swimmers told one lie after another," a Brazilian police official who had reviewed the video images told The New York Times. "We've been able to determine that there was no armed assault."
International Olympic Committee spokesman Mario Andrada said during a news conference Thursday that neither Lochte nor his teammates need to apologize for the incident.
"We have to understand that these kids came here to have fun. Let's give these kids a break," Andrada said. "Sometimes you make decisions you later regret. They had fun. They made a mistake. Life goes on."

Wait, a celebrated American athlete made up a story to avoid getting in trouble for something they did? Unpossible. And anyone making such a claim should be sued in an American court for defamation, pain and suffering, and punitive damages.

Women's 800m prelims... There were some very, um, "aggressively developed" competitors.
And so yesterday I read a whole lot more about "intersexed" athletes than I ever cared to know. I am still not sure about the plug vs. socket configuration of a few of those runners, but I now know it is impolite to ask.

Odd sight with the US women's relay team getting their do-over. Brazilians booing at them the whole time. Must've felt really shitty to compete. Yes they made the final and knocked off China and Brazil got DQ'ed since they bumped into us.

Oh, s--t.
Just as Yohann Diniz built up a lead in Friday’s 50-kilometer walk, his toughest competitor — his stomach — made its move.
The French world record holder appeared to lose control of his bowels on the course, stuffing wet sponges down his shorts to, well, to do what sponges do.
With 20K to go, Diniz had a healthy lead — 1 minute, 28 seconds — on the rest of the field when he pulled up complaining of stomach pain. At the 35K mark, Diniz keeled over and collapsed onto the pavement.
Yohann Diniz needed to stuff sponges into his shorts during the race.
(DAMIR SAGOLJ/REUTERS)From The Associated Press:
Officials helped the gritty high-school sports coach from France back to his feet. He doused his head with a bottle of water and was off again.
The AP added that "his legs were wobbling like cooked spaghetti at times."After building a big lead, Yohann Diniz was crippled by stomach pains in Friday's race.
(JEWEL SAMAD/AFP/GETTY IMAGES)Somehow, Diniz rallied to finish seventh, some six minutes behind gold medalist Matej Toth.
There is video. It’s gross, but if you simply must watch it, you can do so here.

Not sure why F-C thought these were boring Olympics. Swimming had more than a handful of amazing finishes with Gold to USA, numerous World Records went down in swimming and track. Walsh-Jennings played for Bronze for the first time ever and said it was a match like none she has ever played in. Men's pole vault was nucking futs. Usain Bolt going 3 for 3 for 3 will probably stand for close to a century if not forever. Japan going silver in the 4x100 and a white French guy going bronze in the 200M. A couple of other finishes to close for humans to call I can't remember...
I still need to go back and watch the men's 400M and 800M. Wish I could've caught more of the diving too, but I don't think I'll be replaying them. Anything else I should go back for?

And oh, Trump's running for Pres and going to run the country into the ground.
But, at least you get a Great Wall to beat China's YUJE wall. And to remind you of your heritage.

Couple that with any lack of hype from the advertisers, and I just really couldn't care this time.

Hmm. I guess the result doesn't matter so much to me as the way the result came about. Yeah, US swimming won most of it, but some of the finishes were spectacular. I wasn't very thrilled about gymnastics for that reason. Watching our girls was spectacular, but the rest of the field and lack of competition made it rather boring. That's why the beam was probably the best event this year.
So, I get your point to a point, but I thought there were some very exciting moments. I'm not into soccer, but I'm sure the gold medal ending was extremely exciting for some.

Don't get me wrong. I was astounded by her abilities and the gap between the US team and the competitors. It was just the lack of competition that made the overall events kind of boring. They hit so spot on that every little flaw from the others was exaggerated. There was very little suspense compared to previous gymnastics competitions. That's all. The US team did everything they should have and more. I applaud their performances 100%.
