Well look at how big that graphic is that F-C posted, are you really saying that isn't distracting?
And they can only show that on that one particular shot.
A simple fix would be to show more than the top 3 at each split. Like the one I posted. That graphic is small enough.
Or have a better memory

RIO DE JANEIRO — A Belgian woman who won a bronze medal at the 2012 Olympics has become sick after racing on polluted Guanabara Bay, the first sailor to fall ill from the waters that were subject to great scrutiny leading to the Rio Games.
Evi Van Acker reported feeling sick after Wednesday’s races, the governing body World Sailing said. Her poor performances have put her at risk of missing out on a medal.
Her coach told the Belgian VRT network that he believes Van Acker contracted a severe intestinal infection while training in Rio de Janeiro in July.

Michael Phelps has beaten a 2,168-year-old Olympic record for individual event successes.
When the American swimmer won the Olympic 200 metres individual medley on Thursday, he overtook the record of 12 successes set by Leonidas of Rhodes in the original Greek Games in 152 BC.

Somebody had to do it and Phelps was the perfect candidate for the distinction.
Thanks for bringing up Ancient Greece, thought you forgot about them.

Hmmmm I need to tune/stream the Women's track and field 1500m Heat 1 at 4:30pm PST.
one of the runners is an alumni from the college I went to.
Photographed her once for our college paper, sadly those images are on my dead hard drive

So he's finally starting to look human. "Old" and a bit tired after all these events, plus that young blood was pretty damn quick.
How about Ledecky just leaving the rest of the field in her wake. Literally. That was insane!

so Phelps said hes done...
roll back to London 2012
2020 he'll be 35, totally doable. maybe not 6-8 events like in the past. and maybe not back to back events
If Anthony Ervin can do it at 35, Phelps sure can.
25 golds and/or 30 total medals sounds like a nice even number.
side note: i should put money down that he'd return to Rio..
