No you didn't. Really?

My doctor told me that the new technique is to use their tongues because they're so much more sensitive. I didn't care, especially after a couple of glasses of that champagne he had.

Yeah I did. I don't go for new techniques. I just found it odd, considering I went in for an ear infection

Mariano got pulled off the mound toward first base; throwing to first was his only option.

They play plenty of games against other teams - if he can keep it together against everyone else he'll be fine.

What's the general sentiment in NY about A-Rod?

Yes. The announcers were saying Mariano has bursitis, so, hopefully, he's suffering physically rather than a skills breakdown.

But is it an indifferent attitude toward him or a hostile attitude? I feel like the fans there are just about fed up with him, especially after the end of last season.

I think it's an attitude of help us win. I haven't seen him make a real difference; at least not a $25,000,000 difference.

oops, I meant to ask if Mariano was booed....

either way, I'm not an A-Rod fan... it would have to be an indifferent attitude for me. There are other third basemen I'd rather have, especially for the money he's getting.

I'm listening to my yank fan co-worker screaming "Mo's gotta Go !!"...

This makes 2 blown saves for Mo in as many days... He didn't get the save yesterday even tho' the yanks won...

According to my co-worker, it's time for the yanks to start looking for another closer while Mo still has some value left

I think Mo needs to be rested for a few weeks.

There's not a whole lot on the market, quality-closer-wise. Something tells me they'd go after Gagne, though.

That's exactly what my co-worker said...

"Stick Mo and a pile of cash in a pickup truck and send them to LA."

Gagne's on the DL right now...

I don't like Gagne.... Rivera is struggling, but I still like him better than Gagne. To be honest, I can't think of a closer I'd rather have. Just need to get Rivera back on his game.

I mentioned this in the "Accents" thread, but figured some sox fans might miss it there:

its not great but its but bad either. i was real excited when we first got him but as the year went on it just sank in that we overpaid for him. theres alot better 3rd basemen id rather see in pinstripes. he really needs to redeem himself after the end of last year though or else its gonna get real bad for him real fast.
