NFL: 2022 Season News and Discussion Thread

New season upon us...I will continue to cry as a Bears fan but am consoled by the fact we will be rid of our lives of that disgrace in Tampa after this year? Please?

Seriously, didn't know the NFL was co-ed...but, it's cool that Tom has empowered girls everywhere in repping their dream of playing for the NFL.

Yeah, I am a bit torn that they are leaving Soldier Field because let's agree (for once in the NFL ) that it's a historic football field. BUT, Bears have outgrown that facility and need to go to something modernized. Look at the amazing field the Rams have. Momma.

Packers will fall short, yet again and the blame will be DA17 leaving and having a young receiving core that can't catch the missiles from AR12!

TB12 will have family issues and throw more INTs than TDS this year. Bucs won't make the playoffs.

I would agree, Daaaaaaaaaaaaaa Bears need to do something with their current stadium to but it fits shitcago with a shitstadium. Would the move be worth it? I heard their could be 2 shitty teams for shitcago, is that a rumor or something we all will have to deal with?

I would normally agree but if you're cheating from the first snap, INTs are a non-issue. Any INTs will be a penalty against the defense which will be a loss of the turnover and automatic 1324123471 first downs for the Sucs.

Joking aside, the Bears first game will be really interesting for me: Fields versus Lance...the QB the 9ers traded up for instead of the Bears QB...

No bias but I still am unsure why SF did that given how raw and inexperienced Lance is. And skillwise, they seem so identical with Fields being alot more accurate...so, why did SF pass up the Ohio State product? Strange. Anyways, not expecting Bears to win this but I think SF may win in spite of Lance. Pre-season reports of his passing prowess are very hit and miss and that's not a good thing I don't think.

You have a QB though. And honestly I think he's going to take a step forward this year.

IDK, I think Fields is legit. He's got Mooney, and Montgomery can run. They aren't winning the division or anything but I think they'll be decent.

Let's hope he has the proper protection...everything else, secondary IMO. The issue is I don't know much about the newbies on that O-line...and nothing like going full-speed in against Bosa and the 9ers D on Week 1.

I know. I'm just deflecting from my own QB worries. Mac cant be Tom so its hard to determine what success is acceptable

Taking away my disdain for the Pats' cheating ways, I will say that there should be some decent success in NE given the continuity in the system/regime there. Chicago? Completely new and with a torn-down model...we don't even have Mack anymore on D. I am setting the over/under for Bears to be 5 wins this year?

Well it's unchartered territory for all you NE fans - you had Brady so long it's hard to remember when it wasn't Brady.

I'm getting a kick out of analysts/ESPN continuing to harp on whether an O coordinator has been named or not. As if Bill doesn't have a plan or know what he's doing.

Rams special teams gotta stop trying to take the ball in from the endzone with the kickoff returns, take a damn knee and just give the ball to Stafford on the 25 already

Every time Tyler Bass makes a kick, how are these announcers not saying, "That's fantastic Bass!". SMH. Such wasted opportunity.

And the Bills look absolutely legit on both sides of the ball. The team to beat I think.

I had Singletary but he only gave my 7 points. I guess because it was close most of the game?

Three of their TDs were passes (two of them long), and the one goal-line play Allen ran it himself. I think it was just game flow / lack of opportunity. I think he'll have better days - Rams defense is good.
