Lets see if my theory stays true. Rodgers hasnt won in a decade. K1,Watson,Allen have like 3 combine playoff wins. Mahomes won on his rookie deal

Interesting it is in / part of the contract, but don't think it's that big a deal is it??? Team provides scouting reports and due diligence on upcoming opponents defense, weaknesses, etc..... Wouldn't the QB ordinarily do this on his own??? Wonder how this will be enforced other than what is in the screenshot. Could get sticky determining what is in and what is out in terms of "independent study."

^^^Ah, thanks, didn't know he was a genius / "blessed with the cognitive skill to just see things."
Guess that explains why it is in his contract. Will be interesting to see how is plays out with the team enforcing this and/or him getting dinged for non-compliance.

27 lawsuits, gets paid hundreds of millions and a weak ass suspension. NFL is a joke

6 is a joke too. The NFL has a miserable track record for being soft on players who harm women. If they appeal it less it will be a travesty. But honestly, I don't think they will. I think they will accept it. But should have been more.

The positive Covid tests in the NFL isn't really all that surprising. Cases are popping up all over with the variants, so wouldn't expect the NFL to be that different??

I wonder if they are still testing everyone or if these two were experiencing symptoms

I believe (not positive) that the NFL and the NFLPA dropped "surveillance testing" and agreed that testing would occur only when team members were symptomatic or at the direction of the team physician.

NFL strips Miami Dolphins of 2023 first-round pick, fines Stephen Ross $1.5M for tampering with Tom Brady, Sean Payton
MIAMI -- The NFL notified the Miami Dolphins on Tuesday that the team would be stripped of its 2023 first-round pick, among other disciplinary measures, for violations of league policies relating to the integrity of the game.
Following a six-month investigation, the league found the Dolphins -- primarily team owner Stephen Ross and vice chairman/limited partner Bruce Beal -- violated the anti-tampering policy on three occasions from 2019 to 2022 in conversations with quarterback Tom Brady and the agent for then-New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton.

^^^^ Reading this can go either way.
The reality is, no one knows at this point in time," NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said of whether or not the league will appeal. "There's so much that the league has to consider about whether or not they want to appeal."
Rapoport made it clear that the NFL feels Watson should face a longer suspension, but they must weigh if seeking one is worth the possibility of the situation hanging over the league during the regular season and/or Watson taking them to court.

They want 12, wonder if they'll appeal to 9.
But there's one important issue here I don't see anyone talking about. The judge based the 6 months on precedent. What's not being acknowledged is that the NFL has been historically weak on player violence towards women. The precedent is not sufficient. They need to create a new precedent. They need to say what they've done in the past isn't enough and they need a new benchmark.
