Well I was able to somehow get Devonta Freeman off waivers. The guy that had priority before me chose Karlos Williams from Buffalo... he was my second choice. I think Freeman might have more potential ROS though since Shady is still #1 in Buffalo.

 

^Your league is slacking Yeah Freeman is def #1 on that depth chart and K Williams still has Shady in front. I think Shady went down with injury but I didn't research it.

I find this shit interesting because I drafted Freeman in like the 8th round.


You read on espn or wherever who to pick up in waivers for week 4. For me 99% of those players were either drafted or picked up after week 1.

And I am actually hearing a lot of good things from fantasy peeps about K. Williams. They say he is actually better than Shady and could take the starting job... hmmmm. Only time will tell. But yea, just like Freeman with Coleman injured, Williams can do damage with Shady injured.

So that's prolly why there's a little more pickings in waivers than a league like yours with

 

We're the same. The waiver wire pool is very, very shallow. Mostly just a bunch of players who aren't relevant unless one or two starters get injured.

Which is actually happening with surprising regularity....but for the post part they are picked over. And if you are in the top of the league and you're 7th+ on the waiver wire, you'd better be streaming kickers because that's about all you get.

Guys that got claimed this week: Thomas Rawls, Blair Walsh, Lance Dunbar, Marvin Jones, Mike Vick, Blake Bortles, Sebastian Janikowski.

They're trying to keep him in the pocket and get rid of the ball quickly for shorter passes. He has plenty of good receivers to target, but my assumption is that he's going to be handing the ball to Bell a LOT. However the local yocals are saying that the Ravens secondary can be targeted, so he may throw on 1st downs

I'm curious if Steeler fans are a bit bent about giving up two field goal opportunities. Personally I like going for it, and they have enough weapons where its perfectly reasonable to gamble on a couple yards. I don't know that calling Vick's number on a quarterback sweep was a good call. I'll take Bell's great fantasy day (we're PPR so he did very well for me), but bit of a shame for Steeler fans.

 

I was wondering why they didn't kick the FG from the 35ish yard line and instead went for it. Now I know.. Scobee sucks?

 

Like five chances to win the game last night, and the wrong decision was made on three of them. If you didn't trust Scobee to kick a third time, he should have been cut during the postgame presser. The length was never the issue, it was the crosswind. You would have figured that the third or fourth time he could have figured it out. They weren't shanks, just not where they needed to be.

Regardless, I'll be driving up to the Burgh today to help clear out his locker and Tomlin's headset. That Vick sweep was beyond stupid, and Vick still has too happy feet to be throwing it on fourth.

 

Maybe Steelers were getting the wrong playcalls still because a virus left by Belichick.
