My wife showed me a FB post where someone had put together a picture of Marcia Brady with a swollen nose. The headline said ESPN was now reporting the Patriots threw the pass that injured poor Marcia......

I think if Bilichick thinks of things that others don't then good for him. Even if they are unusual ideas. Same for Brady. But I think there is a difference between being clever about a formation and video taping other teams or under inflating game balls. At times I think Bilichick's definition of "being clever" includes activity that others would consider on the border of ethical.

More bullshit lies from your beloved commish
From Mike & Mike radio appearance earlier this week
“I’m not aware of any connection between the Spygate procedures and the procedures we went through here. We obviously learn from every time we go through any kind of a process, try to improve it, get better at it, but there’s no connection in my mind to the two incidents,”
And this is from back in May
“Here, there are several factors that merit strong consideration in assessing discipline,” the league’s statement says. “The first is the club’s prior record. In 2007 the club and several individuals were sanctioned for videotaping signals of opposing defensive coaches in violation of the Constitution and Bylaws. Under the Integrity of the Game Policy, this prior violation of competitive rules was properly considered in determining the discipline in this case.”

What's laugh out loud funny to everyone outside of Boston, is that those 4 SB wins are now shrouded in doubt due to the overwhelming evidence of cheating over the last 15 years. And the "Everyone cheats so it's OK" excuse is beyond hilarious to the rest of us. No other team has been proven over and over to knowingly cheat to this extent that I know of other than the team who's won those 4 SB's in the time span that they've been caught doing it. The fact that the league continues to cover it up is even more disgusting

They should just remove the Patriots from the NFL.

Along with the Fackers, I completely concur: The NFL should do some contraction and dissolve the Cheats and Green Bay.
NFL will be much better.

I think the other teams better pray that someone like Don Van Natta or ESPN dont' go hunting around an ask 90 witnesses/ex-employees/ex-players related to that team for evidence of cheating. This could get UGLY. And a senator already got involved once. This is way more damning and already brought new info to Spygate which was already investigated.
Not sure what's worse in this matter, the Pats or the Commish's attempts to handle. Men will do anything, rules be damned.

Good luck with that..............but a good start would be getting rid of Goodell.

If you go back and read 1Louder's comments and mine, the Pats have drawn more attention because they have been accused more recently and as I mentioned being proved guilty and punished by the NFL as part of Spygate. It's competition and controversy that sells. We all know that Crap is King and Give us dirty laundry according to Don Henley.
With all that being said, I'm just glad the Patriots will be able to stop talking about football and start playing it tonight against your Steelers.

My children will never grow up watching the NFL. I don't want them to ever think that cheating is ok, regardless of what damn colors they're wearing.

Is American Football a big deal in Canada or in your household?

NFL is pretty damn big in canada. Obviously, we have no teams here, so attending a game isn't all that easy unless you live in Toronto, but yeah, there are plenty of fantasy league players here, or people traveling down south specifically to watch a game, etc.
You always hear NFL highlights on the radio/tv and many many people do watch it here.
The CFL has nothing on NFL, however, the only nice thing about he CFL is that it is more about wanting to play football, as opposed to big money and big contracts. CFL players get paid fuck all, so you know the guys on the field are only there because they love the game.

I myself only started watching NFL about 3 years ago. I enjoy it but I think it's because I don't get into the nitty gritty business of it. I don't care who makes how much, who's an asshole and who's not, politics in the locker room, or outside, etc. I just like watching a good game regardless of who is even playing.
Call me simple, I guess. It gets really disheartening hearing or reading all the stuff that happens. Sometimes it seems like the game comes second...

As a Bears fan, we have not much to cheer for: Just Facker losses and watching the Pats cheat their way through each game.

Sad that the Steelers offense will be without 2 of their top 3 offensive weapons due to pot suspensions
But at least they didn't sue to get their suspensions overturned

Hate to say this Ack, as good as the Steelies are, I doubt they'll win because the Pats will cheat their way through this game.

Won't disagree, f'ing stupid to put your team in that position, Bryant failed 4, yes 4 piss tests, dumbass. If he played in NE he'd at least know how to beat the tests

So, if Brady makes 27 completions and gets them say, 4 scores? The Pats cheated at least 31 times in the game. At least.
This does not include the pee water they mixed into the Steelers Gatorade or the contaminated ice the threw into the baths...Also does not discount the hackers they hired to listen in on the radio of the coaching staff or the platoon of lip readers sitting around the Steelers sidelines.

It would not surprise me that Kraft used his $$$$ to buy a satellite to position itself DIRECTLY above the Steelers and steal all the communications going through the club.

Just joking.
I'm starting DeAngelo tonight because of Bell so the best possible outcome for me is a monster running game and Brady getting brutalized by a hopefully angry Steeler defense. I've no FFB stake in that last part, just something I will wish for in every game.
