Lombardi didn't say anything because he didn't even have the balls to show up for the press conference. The trade has the fingerprints of Banner and Lombardi on it. Banner seemingly can't stand the thought of winning with someone else's guys and has been on a crusade to get rid of key players that he had nothing to do with. Lombardi, well, he's just a horrible GM and should have never been hired in the first place.
The Colts desperation for a RB was pretty common knowledge and the Browns probably could have wrung another draft choice of the Colts is they had tried, but they were so damn desperate to ship out Richardson they gave in. If the Browns actually had a viable alternative waiting, I probably wouldn't be as mad as I am, but the complete middle finger to the fans is rage inducing. If they don't care about this season, why should I?
The sheer stupidity of their strategy to chase another QB just amazes me. In my mind, drafting a top rated QB high does nothing if you don't have a line or WRs to throw the ball to (see Tim Couch or David Carr). With the shaky play from the Browns line and inability of anyone but Cameron to get open, what good is a player like Bridgewater to the Browns? They should have used all those picks to address actual holes on the team, not go chasing some college QB because Lombardi and Banner have to get their way.

However Tim Couch was always getting hurt and Carr had Andre Johnson most of his career. Andre is better than any receiver Green Bay has had with Aaron Rodgers throwing and Brady has always been elite even with Troy Brown and other scrubs. I think what hurt Carr was more that it was an expansion team and his O-line was garbage. You don't need a sick stable of WR but it helps. A lot of scouts and GM's just whiff on talent evaluation. Look at Jarmarcus Russell, Ryan Leaf, and the list goes on
Welp Philly and their turnovers. LeSean ran all over them too. I have one league with Charles and McCoy in the backfield :yup:

If you were on Twitter you would've seen this gem I guess I'll be your be guest Twitter feed.
After the last dumb thing Marcus Vick said on Twitter, he shut down his account.
He’s baaaack.
In response to someone who tweeted that Michael Vick is a “below average” quarterback, Marcus took the low road: “And ur mom in a below average WHORE!“
We’ve got a feeling Marcus will be exiting Twitter again soon.

Off to a great start in FF this week, had McCoy and the Chiefs DST last night. Always great to get a fast start on Thu.
Now I just need Dez Bryant and Larry Fitzgerald to get healthy and return to form!

Yeah, 9ers look vulnerable again today. I believe the Colts to be an up-and-coming team but didn't think they would be doing this to SF so far today.

Aight...Luck with the bootleg for the TD. Game over for the 9ers, I think.

Josh Freeman is garbage, they should've gotten rid of him during the off season. Bucs are 0-3 and yet have the #1 defense...
Mind-blowing incompetence, they'll be lucky to go 4-12. We should've picked up Alex Smith...

This makes two games in a row that Kaepernick played like garbage. Its not like he had much help today, but still he seems indecisive and scared. It took me up to the Green Bay playoff game that I finally was sold on him, but after only two games, I have to admit my confidence in him is starting to waver a bit. I expected him to have a great game today and was thoroughly disappointed. I also don't know what was up with the dumb ass play calls on offense. Ten points in eight quarters of play is pathetic.
Got the Rams this Thursday and while before I would have said this is sure win, after these last two weeks' performances I'm not sure what to expect.

Not enjoying it now. Bears sucking it so far in the 2nd half. Pittsburgh has stepped up though.

I saw the graphic yesterday they showed on all the changes to the team. Why did a team that likes to establish the run like the Steelers drop Mendenhall? Was he an off-field issue?
#234
Mendenhall has been out a lot of the years with injuries. They dropped him to go young and IIRC, the guy they picked might be out for the season.
I had Mendenhall on my fantasy teams a few years, only to drop him because he was hurt.

Ah, thanks for the background info. That's too bad because when he did run, I always did notice he had 100+ games like clockwork.

Yeah, he was not consistent and was always hurt, plus at the end of last year, he fumbled some important possessions. So we replaced him with a bunch of bums who fumble more than he does

I was just about to write that Jones is pretty big-time fumbler but, you wrote it already.

They also showed a statistic about our O-Line and how they have the least combined starts of any O-Line in the entire league

I'm still strangely -ing at why Cutler isn't getting his head taken off with such a young O-line. Go figure.
