Yeah our division is super competitive. But don't think playoffs yet until the draft. We need a good nose tackle and a safety and some OLBs. Great WR will make Ok QBs pretty good. We already had a running game. We addressed inside LB but not OLB. Our corners are set.

And yeah we sort of overpaid. His salary extension of 4yrs 47.5mil makes sense since he's 26. But he was going to be a free agent so 2 2nds might be high. However we were sort of desperate anyways since Dez Bryant has question marks at #12 and WRs need a few years to pan out anyways.

off season weight?

but i was watching NFL network last night and they were talking about how the Steelers might trade him away? led them to two super bowls and they wanna trade him? i understand his off field shit but the cases were dropped and he was never charged, but they said its a possiblitiy they might trade rams for the number one pick for Bradford.

I have to seriously doubt it. I also doubt the Rams would do it.

Eagles acquire OLB Ernie Sims from Lions in 3-way trade w/Broncos:

http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/d...ions_Sims.html

"I'm just real excited, looking for a new beginning ... I'm ready to jump in," Sims said on an early afternoon conference call with reporters. "I'm like a sponge right now."
Maybe not the best choice of words, considering the state of their rushing D. Still should be an improvement.

Draft is later tonight....

I'm pretty sure the 49ers will draft at least one OL in the first round. I'm iffy about sticking with Alex Smith or maybe the new alternative, David Carr. Then again early Texans teams sucked ass... pretty sure I remember reading that Carr broke the record for being sacked in a season. Either way, I think he'll be an okay backup.

Some people were talking about SF picking up Jimmy Clausen if he slips.... maybe at 17. I still think Smith just needs time to adjust to the system (we've had like 3-4 different OCs since Smith was drafted) and time to develop chemistry with the receivers.

Big things from Smith and Crabtree maybe all Ginn needs is 2nd chance. I haven't seen his hands yet (mostly body catches, otherwise they're drops) but at least we've got a solid returner again.

soooo.... why the hell did the Bills draft a RB when they already have Lynch and Jackson? also, the Broncos draft Tebow and not Clausen. hmm. Maybe the Vikings will pick up Clausen.

I'm happy about the 49ers picks. But if they traded up to pick up Clausen, that would be interesting too.

Same here. Although spiller was high on my wishlist.
Kinda didn't like how the seahawks had such a good day though.

Yeah, we could have had a nice weapon in Spiller. I started seeing some spread formations last season and Smith did really well... would be perfect to have Spiller in a set like that

Seattle definitely got an anchor on offense and probably defense.

Look at all the draft posts. Wow glad to see so much interest.

Very happy with what Miami did. Traded their 1st to move down and get the 2nd they lost when they got Marshall. Still got a guy they wanted as the goodie basket was full this year. I was praying that Dan Williams would slide down but 2 picks early FTL. Odrick is going to be a DE and a passing down DT.

Like the Eagles pick of DE Brandon Graham from MI. Should be an impact player immediately playing opposite of Cole. Don't like the fact that we traded 2 third round picks to move up to 13th to get him though.

He wanted someone to toe the line. He got it.

Simple as that.

Piss on toeing the line, they need someone who can get the ball downfield. That offense he ran at Florida isn't going to do shit in the Pros and I know that linebackers are salivating at the chance to get a hit on "jesus pt II"

The wildcat has been mildly successful the last few years, and you're getting the ultimate runner of it. I think it will turn out okay in the short term.

Tebow is far from the ultimate wildcat player.. Darren McFadden was the ultimate wildcat player when he was at Arkansas. Ronnie Brown was pretty successful last year when he ran the wildcat... that is something Tebow won't be able to duplicate.

You look at the runs Tebow made and he went up the middle a majority of the time... That will not work in the NFL where the LBs are bigger, faster & stronger. He doesn't have the speed to get around the edge to be as successful.

I disagree. It'll be 50-50 pass or run, and if you can get the line in order, running up the middle won't matter.

Plus with a tall target like Bebe now in the mix, he doesn't have to be as accurate.

My Cowboys delivered trading up to take Bryant. He grew up 2 hours east of Dallas and will be the perfect compliment to Austin. I hope he can make up for the Roy Williams fiasco, still pissed about all the lost draft picks Jerry gave away for that useless receiver.

Lynch wants out of Buffalo and whined like a little byooitch last season. I hope he gets traded Cal douchebag.

I agree. I think taking Tebow this year is like taking a #1 QB 1 year from now. He's definitely a "project" but has the benefit of learning behind Orton and Quinn. Who knows? He's definitely a winner and no one can question his leadership, attitude and work ethic. If he rectifies his arm motion, he may end up being a decent QB.

That being said I would have taken Clausen, LeFevour or even McCoy ahead of Tebow if going for QB.

Denver should have taken Arrelious Benn wideout from Illinois after losing Marshall

I'm wondering why alot of people don't like tony pike. He's 6'6 and pretty accurate and did play well in college.

So he's either going to run up the middle or hope Bebe gets open? Great options for him

It's going to be rather hard to run up the middle from the bench.

Raiders did well this draft
Carolina i beleive have improved well along with the Skins
but it doesnt matter because the Boys just got even tougher to play defense against!
and their defense is always good/great

I'm not sure why carolina draft 3 QB's but they picked up some good defensive players.

They traded for Jason Campbell. and JR played like for a 3rd year QB.... only reason they've held onto him so long is because he was a #1 overall pick and they invested a lot of money into him. He's almost as bad as Alex Smith was in his rookie season

I'm so excited for the 49ers though..... Patrick Willis and Taylor Mays! Can you say, PAIN?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZiHzZgottA

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLD33s7V7EU

I think if P-Willie and Taylor Mays both hit a player full force at the same time, a black hole would open up. Lets hope that doesn't happen

I was just reminded too.... I'm gonna be there for the Battle of the Bay October 17th... Raiders at 49ers two teams that are hopefully on the rebound.
