If the wanted him, it would have been done already.

Dikings' Taylor Signs w/ Bears
Hrm...I still think they need an O-line instead of a new RB...
Story here: http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com...er-taylor.html
And it does look like Peppers' signing is imminent...

Imminent, sounds like he signed from everything at ESPN and NFL Network

Not sure how I feel about that. I know Peppers is a premier pass-rusher...WHEN HE TRIES. I hear he only gets up for an average of 4-5 games a year and then takes the TOwned route for the rest.
Whatever...at least Da Bears are showing they want to improve. They definitely need pass-rush help.
Now, where's the rest of that O-line to protect Cutler...?

Chicago needs him, it's a good signing.

Roethlisberger Accused of Sexual Assault...
Again...? Wow...
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been accused of sexual assault by a young woman in Georgia, TMZ has learned. The alleged incident occurred early this morning at Capital City -- a club in Milledgeville, Georgia. According to law enforcement sources, the alleged victim -- who has already been interviewed by police -- was treated at a local hospital and released. In addition to the Milledgeville Police Dept, we've learned the Georgia Bureau of Investigations is also investigating. As we previously reported, Roethlisberger is being sued by a Reno woman, Andrea McNulty, who claims the QB sexually assaulted her in 2008. We're told Roethlisberger has already been interviewed by police. We're also told no formal charges have been filed at this point. A rep from the Steelers tells TMZ, "We are gathering information on this incident - until then we have no further comment."

Boldin to the Ravens for 3rd and 4th round picks. FUCK. Was really hoping after the Bengals cut Coles, they were looking at him. Apparently still kicking the tires on TO FML.

At least they are addressing some needs. They do need a pass-rusher and a blocking TE...
Taylor's signing...I suppose he fits into Martz's offense too. But, they do need more O-line players and a safety to help out in the secondary.

Interesting. Interesting.
meh. enjoy the Bears digging out of this hole. just hope they don't go on another spending spree next year to fix this year's massive fuck up.
name one team that's won the superbowl in the last 10 years by signing marquis free agents. none.
I'll name one team that consistently did what the Bears just did and has become the biggest joke in professional sports: the Redskins.
welcome to hell, Yummy. care for an Antwan Randle El or Brandon Loydd?

^lol, I remember the 49ers did that for the '94 season. But that was 16 seasons ago and the 49ers were a lot closer to even being in the SB than the Bears. Yeah.... good luck Yummy. Prepare for more angst.

Lloyd was with the Bears in 2008

and he was on the Niners too, and when he was he made some spectacular catches....... two or three times a season, the rest of the time he's not open
Whoever wants him can have him

I don't think the Cover 2 that Smith insists on playing is going to work well with the personnel they have on the staff...or the lack of pass-rush. Who knows how much better Peppers will make it.
I'm just saying that I'm at least okay with the fact that they are trying to fix some of the gaping holes on the team...abeit, not the way I would've done it. Then again, I don't get paid the big bucks either...so, what do I know?

WTF. Fins re-signed Pennington to a 1 year. Sounds like Pat White is a 2nd round bust (we already knew that) and Thigpen won't cut it.
Karlos Dansby highest paid ILB. Supply and demand FTL. He's good but we had to pay a lot since our D kept falling apart last year.

Wonderlic scores are kinda amusing to look at... not saying anyone is but I don't think they should considered for skill at the position
http://www.bigcatcountry.com/2009/2/...outing-combine
lol at the scale...
Drew Henson - 40
Alex Smith - 40
...
Dan Marino - 15
Donovan McNabb 14

50 = highest possible score, superior intelligence
30 = Very bright, you're shouldn't be living at home
20 = average intelligence (similar to IQ of 100)
15 = Equivalent to unskilled worker
10 and Below = Mental retardation

i really dont think the wonderlic test means THAT much. if dan marino, jim kelly and donovan mcnabb scored about 15 and they're as good as they are, then id take these test scores with a grain of salt

Tomlinson joins Cromartie by signing with the Jets... guess he figures SD can't get it done?
Brady Quinn traded to Broncos, Derek Anderson released, Mike Holmgren signs Jake Delhomme for some pretty serious money
oh and Larry Johnson signed a 3-year deal with the Redskins...

So I guess it's official that Brady Quinn is a bust. I'm surprised he outlasted Ted Ginn at staying on their team. They were both in the same draft and EVERYONE said we should've drafted Quinn. Probably not a good situation for a young QB though

I'm really shocked at the trade of Quinn...And WTF @ the $$ to Delhomme.

Delhomme still has some gas left in the tank. Holmgren is a QB guru, I think Delhomme may have a chance if he has pass protection and some decent wideouts. Wait who am I kidding? We're talking about the Browns right?

"STFU Tebow"
I wonder who it was.

Tebow's pre-Wonderlic prayer request falls flat
Posted by Mike Florio on March 23, 2010 7:20 PM ET
As we've mentioned once or twice, quarterback Tim Tebow's habit of openly expressing his religious beliefs could potentially rub folks the wrong way, especially in a locker room of grown men who choose to keep their beliefs to themselves, who don't share his beliefs at all, and/or who only want to hear "God bless" after they have sneezed.
We're told that Tebow already has gotten a taste of the resistance he might face at the next level.
At the Scouting Combine, the Wonderlic exam is administered to players in groups. The 12-minute test is preceded by some brief instructions and comments from the person administering the test.
Per a league source, after the person administering the test to Tebow's group had finished, Tebow made a request that the players bow their heads in prayer before taking the 50-question exam.
Said one of the other players in response: "Shut the fuck up." Others players in the room then laughed.
We're not passing judgment on this one; we're just passing along what we've heard. And it illustrates the type of challenges that could be faced by the team that drafts Tebow.
That said, some teams might embrace those challenges. The final decision will depend largely on the composition of the team, and the personalities of the coach, the G.M., and the owner.

After just about every football game there's 20-30 guys from both teams kneeling for a after game prayer. He's not going to have any problems at the next level. Reporter is ass, who was the one who said STFU?
