If Nick Young can stay for the right price, I'll take him. I mean, he played for the vets minimum and was fun to have, hometown guy. Loved being here. But you gotta be kidding me if you think we're pinning our hopes on him. As with most things involving Laker bench players, things like this are tongue-in-cheek...god forbid we have any fun out here.

Lebron will likely stay. The opt-out is just leverage.

I think that dante exum would be a great pick for the Lakers if they could get him. but if embid is still available. then it might be something to think about.

^^ya, definitely think this draft has deep talent. For the Lakers and Celtics, they will pretty much will take who is left over from the top 5, but they will be genuine talent. But I think their picks have really good value (be it in actual talent or to be traded or used in trade).

Yeah I agree but the mock latest drafts have Exum going in the top 3-5 picks and if Embid falls the Celtics have said they will take him at #6 it will be interesting to see what actually happens.

I can't believe that the Sixers took Embid that's 2 straight years of picking guys that have injuries coming out of the draft. No wonder that franchise is struggling.

Lakers got Julius Randle but I'm surprised that Aaron Gordon went 4th.

on Aaron Gordon. I had guys like Smart, Exum, and even Randle before him.

I'm happy with the Laker pick.

Bulls address a need...here's hoping McDermott's shooting prowess in college translates to the pros.

Cuz, man...when they needed a shot, there sure the heck was none given.

McDermott is a scorer. so that should help that aspect.

Napier traded to the Heat, as Lebron wanted.

This guy is a joke. ESPN loves guys like him and Skip. Act clueless and emotionally attached just to stir up shit. I don't watch First Take nor did I watch the draft but millions do just to see what the trainwrecks will say next.

^^you guys are lucky you aren't Laker fans with regards to Bill Simmons. I hate that MFer with a passion. Eff that guy.

Great move with Napier. Not just because it appeases Lebron, I think the guy's is pretty good.

^^ugh, I hate his ugly face.

lol...what's funny is Bill and Jalen both hate Kobe with a passion. Bill because he's Bill and Jalen cuz Kobe dropped 81 on his ass.

ya, I had it on mute pretty much and listened to LA radio during the draft.

I just hated we had to listen to him during the finals. id rather have the TNT staff. they should just take him off the air and keep him to like radio shows or just youtube videos. But to be quite honest if he's going to be this bias and cheerleader type then any joe-smo can do that. Why can't ABC/ESPN replace him.

^^I'd rather have the TNT staff too. Simmons, biases notwithstanding, is actually really knowledgeable. But his biases just annoy. Whomever he perceives as rivals to his Celtics, he downplays or tries to change the subject. Jalen, to a bit of his credit, tries to temper it down a little. At least he knows whats up, sorta.

I don't know if you were following on Twitter like I was, but that dude Adrian Wojnorowski was tweeting each draft pick 2 or 3 minutes before they were announced by Silver. Dude's got THE best sources.

Good for him and them. I don't think any player that's been on their rookie contract has ever turned down max money. You'd be an idiot not to take it.

Don't worry. Once Rose stays healthy long-term, he'll be a LeHeat.

Chicago just paying for the medical bills.

This FA period is ridiculous. IMO, Meeks, CJ Miles and Gortat were overpaid.

I've always liked Hayward (good kid on and off the bball court), and he is a great young player with alot of upside.... but a max contract?

The only player who is worth the max in this FA class is LeBron.

Kyle Lowry staying with Toronto on a 40+mil deal as well. Guess Napier is the heat's new starting PG.

Poor Jehwahmee Rin.

But, then again, serves him right trying to be all and all. Should've stayed in skoo and became a maff teacher or engineer like all good .

Personally, I don't think he's worth a max contract...but, whatever.
