I don't hate them. I think Lebron has done some stupid stuff, but he's grown since then. They play good ball from what I see. I could care less about personalities since they are so far away.

I blame small market mentality and the bitch that is David Stern for the CP3 thing and everything that has happened to the Lakers since.

These next couple of years will be good for the Lakers though. Still have Kobe to put butts in seats, he'll be decent still, and the rookies coming in want to play with him. They'll have room for 2 max contracts next year and the year after, as well as having the lottery pick. And there is no better GM than Mitch Kupchak.

I don't think anything is a given, but no franchise has a better track record of rebuilding and winning throughout the decades.

I think LBJ is a great NBA player but as a person he sux asshole.

with all the shit he has been saying that he will be top 4,5 of all time.

and maybe there must be a reason why he was voted the most hated player in NBA at one time.
people still mad about the decision. I think the only people who should be still mad is Cavs fan, but to be quite honest, david stern doesn't have any power to overturn who signs with the team. As for CP3, the NBA owned the Hornets at the time and yes it was a shitty deal for Laker fans.

I still worry that Jim Buss will run the team to the ground and might tarnish his father's legacy. I'm sure that he will still overrule Kupchack regardless. Now will Jeanie understand it soon enough before the damage is done.

Im sure that the Lakers will get 2 max deals; one could be Kevin Love, and other being Westbrook or even Jrue Holiday imo.

The rookies do, but do any superstars want to? He has a reputation that other superstars aren't fond of.

Kevin Love may since he seems desperate to get out. Westbrook isn't going anywhere. No other team will let his stupid ass play hero ball, ESP. not Kobe. Kobe will want Durant before he wants them to sign Westbrook. Westbrook will have to immediately adjust to actually playing like a point guard if he goes to any contending team.

FWIW, seems like many superstars would love to play with Kobe. I think in a sense, they view him as competition, but on the other hand, they sure liked playing with him during the Olympics and he's been admired for his work ethic by many of those guys.

Lest we forget, CP3 was excited to play with him. Durant recently said he looks up to Kobe. Gasol has said there is only one reason he'd be back and its for Kobe. Ron Artest asked to be there.

There was only 1 bitch ass clown center playing for the Rockets that didn't like his style. The other clown center regrets them breaking up. But I don't think dislike of Kobe is really a game stopper. Its about money, location, winning, brand, and franchise, etc, in the long run.

Seems Stern is the main offender for the CP3 fiasco, not the Heat. Don't forget the Heat got screwed by him and the league too when they voided the Juwan Howard (in his prime) contract. Would've been him, Zo, and Hardaway in their primes.

Many people think that superstars don't like to play with Kobe. So far it seems everyone either wants to play with Kobe or play against Kobe. You would really have to respect someone to want to play against him if you were a superstar yourself.

His will to win will push anyone to their limit, if they can't handle the pressure, then they don't deserve to be on the Lakers roster.

D12 with all these stars around him is getting swept by Portland. Bitch ass!!

The Lakers are doomed with Can't oni. Despite coaching the team to its worst season in franchise history, despite an overall record of 67-87, despite the Lakers giving up record performances to average or below average players almost nightly, despite the Lakers having the 28th defense in the league apparently the front office is bringing this idiot back.

Donald Sterling is a racist and a slumlord it's widely known by a lot of people in Socal or in basketball circles. I'm not shocked by that idiots statements I hope the NBA suspends and fines him but I'm not holding my breath.

I can't believe Sterling's racism is such a shock. If I remember right, the guy refused to rent to specific races in his complexes because of negative stereotypes & yells at his players on the court. He should be ultimately stripped of the team, but they're considered contenders now & the team shot down any notion of boycotting because they know damn well they want a championship.

Any chance some of the Clippers ask to get out of their contracts given the circumstances? I would welcome their entire team and coach.....hahahaha

You're not suggesting the team itself doesn't deserve a chance to win a championship because of the owner are you?

It's unfortunate for some of the players I say some because I know that some of them know Sterlings a racist and if they chose to play for that idiot then you deserve to suffer the scrutiny don't be fooled into thinking none of them knew. You can interpret it however you want.

"LOL, fuck Chris Paul because Sterling is a racist".

What logic. Wonder why Kobe's teammates didn't walk away from the team in the 2003-2004 season.

That's your interpretation not mine. I don't knowingly support any organization basketball or not that has ownership or management like Sterling.

Fwiw, from who I know in the Clipper organization, as of late, they've all try to win despite him. That goes down to the back offices, front office, etc. He went for something like a 7 year stretch not showing up at practice or at the offices. This clearly isn't his most important business venture.

I feel terrible for the Clipper players to be playing for this guy. But it isn't their fault. I do think after this is all is said and done, hopefully he is forced to sell by other owners. Sell them to Seattle or something.

It sucks to be a Clippers player, fan, or even worker for that organization. I feel that if it doesn't go as what the majority of the community feels then Doc leaves.

I totally agree with what Jeff Van Gundy said that if the league doesn't remove or force Sterling to sell then the players and coach should be given the right as a free agent to sign somewhere else if they choose.

Steven A Smith's First Take today was great. I agree that the league should enforce sterling to sell the team, but here is the catch. Sterling is a lawyer, he will sue back. The cheap bastard will let the insurance handle the situation and thats that. Now the movement has started since the players had did their part, Doc is stuck between a rock and hard place at the time being, waiting for Adam Silver and the owners and now the Clippers are losing sponsorships (reported by ESPN that CarMax and Virgin America has cut ties). Its really left for fans to do something. Im sure he is meaning to protest or have something of the lines of a Trayvon Martin movement. Either way this man his got to go.
