Just SOOOOOO many bad calls.
Swisher picked off at 2nd (wasn't even freaking close)
Swisher leaving too early - definitely left after the ball was caught
Posada and Cano both out at 3rd (how in gods name did you blow that call).
Well it seems I'm going to get half of my prediction right. Hey at least the players won't have jet lag (more like bus lag).

I like your confidence.
Any real baseball fan knows that it ain't over until that fourth game is won and to count the Dodgers out of it is foolish, especially considering the Dodgers led most of the last game until that bottom nine gapper. Hopefully tonight the Baseball Gods are on our side! GO BLUE!!

First off I want to congratulate the Phils on winning the series because it was obvious that they were the better team. If you play the Yanks, which you will, please annihilate them because I hate them more than you.
Secondly, this game proves how vital it is to a teams success that you drive in the men that are on base. This has been the Achilles Heel for the Dodgers all postseason (and even during the last half of the second season), look what happened (again) when they had bases loaded, fail to capitalize.
Lastly, I do want to say that I'm proud of my team regardless the outcome. To get this far two years in a row does say something about this team. Their young and talented and this won't be the last time you'll see us fighting for our chance to become champions. To see Kemp, Either, and Loney to grow as players has been awesome to watch all season and our future looks bright. Hopefully we'll make some important changes in the offseason..*cough* getting rid of Manny, but we'll see. See you bitches next season!!
On that note. FFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKK KKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We don't care who we're playing. Bring em on.
GO PHILS!!!!!
The local sportscaster put it eloquently, take away the 8th inning in game 2 and the Dodgers never even make it to game 5. Phils were just dominating.

Haha, they were just talking about that today on the radio. Who will the Met fans root for. Most of them said they were rooting for the Giants, Jets, and Rangers as their baseball season ended about mid-season.

Lets see how well the Yankees would have done if they lost Texeria, Jeter, A-rod, Burnett, Hughes, among others for all or most of the season.
We will see everyone next year. I can't stand the Yankees.
Plus, I'm a National league fan, so lets go NL.

It's true. The annoying thing is everyone is ripping the Mets. Saying things like "where are the Mets?" and "The Mets are terrible"...fuck all that. The whole team was injured. What were they supposed to do?

I am a native New Yorker, born and raised. I would root for the Mets (or even Islanders) who I legitimately hate (Potvin sucks) if my team (Rangers Yankees) were eliminated because I am a New Yorker that loves the city of my birth.
I rooted for the Rangers for the first 32 years of my life with no cup to show for it and the last 15 years under the same hell.
To people that are New Yorkers that root against New York I say shame on you.

Going to school in Manhattan, I obviously favored the Yanks over the Mets. But, during the Subway Series, I was happy both NY teams were in the WS and I always liked Piazza. Mets fans are just bitter, I would be too if my favorite baseball team sucked as much as them. I don't think you can expect New Yorkers to root for both teams though. Christ, I watched the Chisox-Cubs game at Cell Field this past July and it was fist-to-cuffs in the stands.
That happened last year, they still won more than 80 games. (and sucked)

You Yankees fans are all the same. Lets root for the lowly Mets because our team is out of it. Bullshit, you guys do nothing but rip us when your team is doing well. We don't need sympathy or support from Yankee fans. This isn't a New York collaboration, it is a competition, to be the best team in baseball. I hear it constantly from Yankee fans about the Mets...the whole "2nd best team in NY" stance. I don't jump on the Yankee bandwagon when the Mets are bad, you can't jump on ours when the Yankees are bad.
And yes, I'm born and raised NY.

To say the Mets suck now is just dumb. When healthy, they are one of, if not, the best teams in the NL. You can't lose Reyes, Beltran, Delgado, Maine, Putz, Wagner, Perez, Santana, and others for significant time periods and expect them to win. Give me a break.

Please, there were times when the Yankees were the worst team in baseball. Not to mention they have been around about 80 years longer the Mets.

Two World Series and a few wild card entrances do not a best team make, the best they can claim is best expansion team.
During their history, the Mets have won two World Series titles (1969 and 1986), four National League pennants (1969, 1973, 1986, 2000), and five National League East titles (1969, 1973, 1986, 1988, 2006). The Mets also qualified for the postseason as the National League Wild Card team in 1999 and 2000. The Mets have appeared in more World Series — four — than any other expansion team in Major League Baseball history. Their two championships equal the tally of the Toronto Blue Jays and Florida Marlins for the most titles among expansion teams.

Every Yankee fan loves the Mets for one reason and one reason only:
They beat the Red Sox in '86.
Do the Mets players suck? No. Does management? Yes.

Secondly, blah blah blah...I'm not claiming they are the best team in history, I'm claiming that they could have been the best team in the NL THIS year. Typical Yankee fan bringing up things that happened 40 years ago. I'm talking about the present. I could care less about how bad or good a team was in 1973.

The fact they lowered their payroll is great alone. Damons contract is up this year, as is Matsuis. Im sure they will resign Damon but Matsui is questionable. Both of their current contracts are 4yr/$52M deals.
Forbes Value for 2009:
Yankees - $1,500,000,000 (thats billion)
Phillies - $496,000,000
So the Phillies, a team with a payroll a little more then half the Yankees payroll, is worth less then 33% of the Yanks. Do they win, yes. But from a business stand-point (and it is a business), they are not nearly as strong as the Yankees.

Remember the 80's? When the Yankees sucked shit? And yes, that is more like it. I don't want you to be nice and sympathetic about how bad they have been. You could be damn sure I would rip the Yankees apart if I could. Not doing so on your part just sounds like arrogance.

I am now talking about this year. The Yankees ARE the best team in Baseball. They won more games THIS season than anyone.
The Mets won 70.
The Yankees sucked last year, they won 83 games. How does the 70 the Mets won compare?
You were 3 the last time the Mets won, the Yankees won in the last ten years, Mets not so much.
