Three Wheelin'
Unfortunately I would have to agree. I think we're missing Gagne, Carter and Laperierre more than we thought we would. Coach is double-shifting Briere/Richards and its wearing them out. The rest of the team is just not stepping up. I also have to credit the B's who are playing some pretty good defense, especially when short handed. Oh well, nobody picked us to get past Jersey so I'd have to say we did better than I thought we would. Looks like a B's/Pens conference final is in the offing. Time to concentrate on the Phils.

What a game played by Niemi...he was lights-out in the 1st period when Chicago was holding a 1-0 lead.
And then, the Big Buff and Captain Serious show!
Win 2 more games, Hawks!

Anyone believe in deja vu?
check out the playoffs from 1992, where the pens won their 2nd cup in a row:
Stanley Cup Finals (4-0): Pittsburgh Penguins over Chicago Blackhawks
Conference Finals (4-0): Chicago Blackhawks over Edmonton Oilers
Conference Finals (4-0): Pittsburgh Penguins over Boston Bruins
It was Pens v Bruins and Oil vs Hawks... almost the same thing this year.

^ Well, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Still a potentially a long series between the Hawks and Canuckleheads...
Chicago has the better overall talent in all 4 lines and defence. But, for some weird@$$ reason, they can't seem to sustain good hockey for consecutive games.
With that in mind, I'm guessing it will be tied 2-2 heading back to Chicago for Game 5. Or, Luoooooooo et al are really the chokers that I think they are.

My biggest consolation is that the Chicken Wings will be killed, torched, stomped out, and eliminated by a team of TRUE chokers.
And prior to that...taken to 7 games by.......Phoenix.

The best quote in the playoffs courtesy of Adam Burish to one of the Sedins: "Your brother is ugly."
That is pretty funny, but someone had to tell him that to say it.

^ Not sure...but, the Hawks have been pretty yappy since Game 2...Bolland, Burish, Eager, and Byfuglien especially.
Heck, it's not easy to set off Daniel but he went berserk yesterday. So, there must be some priceless things said to the 'Nucks to try to throw them off their game.

Stupid Sharks. Can't even douse out a team that's already half-dead...?

Pens Played pretty well, Fleury let in some soft ones, the GW wasn't his fault though, bounced right off Letang in the slot when he wasn't even covering anyone

^ That'll be followed promptly by me going ...

As nice of a story it is for the Habs, I doubt they can get past the Pens. Pittsburgh needs to make a few adjustments and I think their overall depth will ultimately overcome Montreal even if the latter may force a 7th game.

The habs have nothing offensively beyond Gionta and Camilleri, Pens need to make some adjustments and stop letting in bs goals scored off their own defensemen and they'll be fine

^ Quite...the Pavelski, Setoguchi, and Clowe line has been fantastic.
Which, basically takes the spotlight off of the annual chokers in Heatley, Marleau, and Jumbo Joe. So, it works out for the Sharks...
Still, to get blown out like that yesterday...Wowie. I think Detroit has another win left but it's game over by 6 for the Chicken Wings.

Here's hoping Chicago wins tonight. It'd sure be nice to head home up 3-1.

I agree, the blow out was a matter of luck though, franzen got an obscene amount of bounces that fell his way. What will be interesting is how both teams bounce back, IMO they both have to pretend it didn't happen. I also don't think the wings can eek out 3 more. Forcing a game 7 would be crazy but I think it will be done in 6.

@ Captain Serious.
And so far, a no-name goalie is out-playing a name-brand goalie. Roberto Luongo? Pffft...Reboundo Luongo if you ask me.

Yummy, correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like the Canucks are doing the same thing they did last year in the playoffs....becoming undisciplined and playing sloppy, which causes them to lose.

Seems like it...and at the rate they are going, Luongo's gonna be crying again.
But, still not over. The Canucks are a proud franchise and I'm sure they are going to come out very fired-up in Game 5. Chicago has one more storm to weather...
