Sheesh...Pittsburgh’s situation eerily reminds me of the time when Mario was selected #1 overall. Correct me if I’m wrong, but the penguins were in serious financial troubles back then and Mario came around to save the day. Now it’s Crosby’s turn. But this time, Crosby has one heck of a teacher to learn from in gold ol’ #66

It was fixed, first the Pens really need him get people back to the seat. Secondly the Pens are in the same division with all 3 NY-based teams, so the Pens will face those teams the total of 24 times in the regular season and people WILL get to know him.

It's kind of like insider trading.. Like Mario knew something... It will be crazy to see what happens.. Many players want to come to play with Mario and the team.. The cap I think will be the problem before the amount of players that want to come here runs out.. They sucked for 5+ years and have a stacked farm team also...

Lindros was "dominant" for 2 maybe 3 seasons. He only broke 100 pts once and only broke the 70-game mark twice in his Philly career.
He was a very good player for Philly....most of the time. Not only was he injury prone, he was a head case. He thought he was the second coming of Christ when he entered the league. Philly gave up WAY too much for him.

He tallied 382 goals and 379 assists overall in the regular season in his career with the Flyers and the Montreal Canadiens; he had 42 goals and 47 assists in the playoffs.
LeClair, who entered the lockout due $9 million US this season, was to make $6.84 million after the leaguewide 24 per cent pay cut.
Amonte, who started the lockout at about $5.61 million, was due $4.26 million. In 14 seasons with New York, Chicago, Phoenix and Philadelphia, Amonte tallied 392 goals and 436 assists in the regular season; he had 20 goals and 31 assists in 86 playoff games.
The buyouts will give the Flyers room to make qualifying offers to restricted free agents and begin negotiations with unsigned rookies.
